Shower Brunch Suggestions - Near Westchester Side of Tappan Zee
Called Red Hat, but our group is too large for upstairs, private event. It only seats about 40. Has anyone had any recent experience with the Tarrytown House? We are also looking at Striped Base and Sunset Cove.
Shower Brunch Suggestions - Near Westchester Side of Tappan Zee
I am helping to plan a shower for my future daughter-in-law for about 70 people. We would like to do a Sunday brunch at a restaurant or venue with great food, casual but elegant, that can accomodate 70 in a private space. Because people are coming from many places we thought somewhere near the Westchester side of the Tappan Zee with Metro North access would be convenient. Appreciate any ideas you might have. I am running out.

I had a wonderful 60th birthday party at Sonora..they were a pleasure to work with and the guests are still raving about the food. It is young and fun and Alex is the best. It is worth checking out.

Looking for a nice venue with really good food for a fun rehearsal dinner near Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Guests will be staying at the Woodcliff Lake Hilton. Expect about 50 - 60 people for the dinner. Event is mid-July 2010. Thank you.

I would like to highly recommend Outdoor Cookers in Norwalk. They have catered several events for me and my agency and will definitely come to Westchester. They are easy to work with, will not skimp no matter what the budget and the food is outstanding. Michael, the owner is a pleasure to work with. Also, Matt Miller Productions in Briarcliff, also does great food and presentation. Good luck. Let me know how it works out.

I will check out Tarry Lodge. Yes the decor at the Kittle House is in need of a serious update. Downstairs area probably looks better in the summer with all of the gardens. Has anyone had recent experience with the food at the Kittle House or been to an event there? They have been extremely pleasant and accomodating to work with so far. I just haven't booked it yet because of my concern about the food. Sonora has terrific food and they will provide the whole downstairs but the space feels tight for 75 people. Do you think people prefer a buffet or sit down dinner? Thanks again. All the feedback is very helpful.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I was wondering if there are any recent experiences with the Kittle House? There have been mixed reviews about service and food of late. I do love their outdoor garden area. I am probably going to spend more than $70..per since this did not include drinks...so other suggestions are welcome. I will check out Harvest on Hudson. I was also thinking of Sonora in Port Chester for just a fun place...any thoughts about that?
