Super Cocina is the "don't miss" of the Mexican variety. Good call, karaethon! Cowboy Star has the best skirt steak in the city. Skirt steak you say? It's the best cut of meat on their menu. Right chris2269? Fine dining recs would be Market in Del Mar or hit the patio at Mr. As during happy hour to enjoy the sunset & miss the high price menu items served inside at night. Cafe Chloe is a great French bistro that I highly recommend for breakfast. Start by grabbing wine from Cucina Urbana for the weekend. Enjoy your trip to San Diego.

My favorite cheese plates are from Cafe Chloe and Kensington Grill. Both come with accompaniments that make the cheese sing! Honeycomb is a must have with any truffle cheese. A good manchego and some quince ... it's like eating a grown up PB&J.

Whisknladle should not be missed during your time in La Jolla. They create everything themselves and buy only local, organic veggies, fruits and meats. A great dessert option is Nine-Ten at the Colonial Grande Hotel. Ask Mike, the bartender for a jello shot. I'm serious. Why not take a drive into historic Rancho Santa Fe and enjoy Burger Night at Delicias? Their lamb sliders are awesome on Thursday nights. If you are going to have Mexican food, absolutely go to Las Cuarto Milpas! They know how to do tamales right!
Welcome to San Diego ... we hope you enjoy our culinary delights.
