Iron Hill Brewry in Ardmore?!

I visit the Iron Hill in Montgomeryville. Good quality pub fare, with some creativity. My favorites are their turkey burger, their cheese steak rolls, and their appetizers in general. Service has been good in my experience. Nice ambiance, can get loud with a crowd. Good variety on the menu, so it's a place a continue to visit.

Paganini's Pizza?

Thanks, CW you nailed. I really want to sit there, but not worth it. Jules Thin Crust sounds interesting, I'll try them next time.

Baja Fresh in Montgomeryville

I really like Baja Fresh, too. Great salads, fish taco's as mentioned, and also like the salsa bar! The little outside patio is nice when the weather is good. Probably wouldn't look there, or any mexican restaurant with a gluten intolerance.

Paganini's Pizza?

Ate at the wine bar in D-Town last week. We ordered a "margarita pizza" and some wine. What came out was a basic cheese pizza, barely above frozen Totino's. By definition, IMHO, margarita means fresh, as in basil, mozzarella, maybe even tomatoes. All of that was missing. Is this their usual fare, or did I just catch them on a bad night? It's a nice location, but don't know if I would go there again...

Oops, you are right. Sorry Margaritas! Anyone eaten there who can correct my comments?

Bones in Harleysville Closed

I wouldn't get any hopes up. Margaritas in Ft. Washington, if it is the same chain, was spotty at best. One time it would be passable, the next it would be gristly meat and hard chunks in the refried beans. The quality was all over the place, so I decided to get off the roulette wheel there.

Recommendation for Anniversary dinner in New Hope, Doylestown, etc

In Lambertville, I like the Hamilton Grill. It is BYOB with great food and atmsophere. Preferably with drinks before or after at The Boat House next door. You can also buy wine there to take to Hamilton Grill if you want.

Massa - Italian and Portugese Fusion

Must have been an off day. I've had the pizza there, and agree with Ambler Girl, it was very crispy which is the way I like it. Was there last week for the pasta bolonese which was hearty and satisfying. Also have to say their fresh rolls are habit forming. My only complaint is the house salad - could you do something more than lettuce and dressing? C'mon, put some cheese, onion or something on there to make it worth eating.

All-Clad Outlet in PA?

One of the advantages of All Clad is that it is one of the few American companies in high quality cookware. I feel good about buying their products for that reason.

Sunday Brunch @ NaBrasa, Buona Via or William Penn Inn?

I have only been to William Penn in, so I will speak to that and look forward to reviews of the others. WPI has an extensive selection - fresh made omelets, cheeses and fruits, varieties of baked goods, roasts for slicing, fresh waffles, several breakfast meats, etc. The quality is very good. There is a full bar so you can get bloody mary's, mimosas, etc if you want. This place can handle a large crowd if you need it too. The atmosphere and decor are very traditional. Overall, not cheap but good quality, variety and consistency.

Best Pizza in Fort Washington/Ambler/Springhouse/Dresher

Given that definition, have you tried the pizza at De Terra? Not exactly a pizza restaurant, but they do have to thinnest crispiest, and most creative pizza in the areas you mention. Slightly outside of those areas I can recommend Bacco in North Wales. Fits your description perfectly.

Overnight in Northern Liberties

Spent a very fun night with my daughter last Thursday. We started with mani/pedi's but that is a topic for another website. Dinner was at Modo Mio. Oh my. We both had the 4 course prix fixe meal, and shared. My favorites were: 1) the crab cake appetizer - unlike anything I've had in the crab cake department. It sat on a bed of creamy and satisfying cheese, and was topped with a small but perfect piece of some sort of pastry. Next was the pasta course, and the winner was the veal ravioli. The sauce was perfect and the portions were just right. For the main course, I had the bistecca which was unexpectedly spicy, which is usually not my thing, but this was a dish that kept me looking forward to the next bite. Last, we had the tiramisu, which was the lightest I've ever had and a decadent flourless chocolate cake. We pretty much rolled home - perfect!

The next morning, or should I say more like brunch, we ended up a the One Shot cafe. The tough part was making a decision from a very creative menu. There was a croissant with honey, marscapone and strawberries, a breakfast burrito, broccoli quiche, on and on. I had a dish with ham, swiss, and dijon serve between two slices of brioche with a fried egg on top and maple syrup on the bottom. On the side, a coffee/mocha/hazelnut concoction. Delicious and filling. Can't wait to go back and try something else...

Best mother/daughter night & sleep over ever!

Loud, obnoxious patrons

Ooh, now there is a topic. I do have friends (a couple) who tend to be annoying in restaurants. They love to drink a lot of wine (who doesn't?) and their volume increases as the night goes on - sometimes in competition with each other. Sometimes that volume is used to be overly critical of minor details of the restaurant or food. What do I do? Avoid nicer restaurants with them. Stick to dinners at home or noisy restaurant/bar places where they blend in. With some friends, a little goes a long way if you know what I mean.

In Montco, William Penn Inn is an old standard for brunch. Very extensive buffet and hot prepared choices.

Dinner Tonight...Montgomery County.

Not sure what you had in mind, but at the corner of 202 & Skippack Pike in Blue Bell there is a good place called Buonissimo's. Italian (obviously,) casual, BYOB, and inexpensive. The owner used to be the chef at Trinacria, a more upscale restaurant nearby. So you get great quality at good prices.

Alright, the moderator pulled my last resonse so let me try again. First of all, that is the worst example of customer service I have heard of in a long time. Secondly, it might be worth you contacting the owner for satisfaction, rather than the manager.

Guilty Pleasures

OK, I realize this is far from top shelf cuisine, but "Welcome to Moe's." Don't know what has gotten into me, but I am crazy for the Overacheiver Cruncy Taco with pork! Have to get one every time I go Christmas shopping. The guac just puts me over the top.

Any other slightly cheesy cravings going on out there?
