One Dinner in Kansas City - No BBQ

Hey hounds, we are here in Kansas City by the convention center downtown and need one more place to eat dinner at tonight. We've done the BBQ rounds, perused a few restaurants in the Power and Light District, and would like something other than BBQ that isn't too expensive <$15/plate. We would have to go by foot or take public transportation to where ever is suggested. If you were downtown where would you go for a tasty meal that won't empty your wallet? Thanks!

Jumbalaya and Other Cajun Eats West of Cleveland

Sounds great but that's even farther than downtown for me. I'm a West sider, closer to Lorain actually. I will keep this in mind if I get over to that side of town though.

Jumbalaya and Other Cajun Eats West of Cleveland

Craving jumbalaya, corn bread, etc. after having phenomenal food at Acme Oyster House in New Orleans and at The Bayou in Glenwood Springs, CO this year. Help!? Any recommendations that aren't downtown Cleveland? Thanks.

Cajun in Gulf Shores

Ok. So we are in Gulf Shores, Alabama and are having a difficult time finding places that serve cajun food. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Good Eats in and around Jackson Hole

Hello fellow hounds. Our next trip is taking us to Jackson, Wyoming where we will be for about 5 days. We have never been Northwest of Minnesota so this part of the country is completely foreign to us! Any ideas? We need to do all meals, desserts, anyplace really. Preferably most under $15 a meal. We have a rental car so will be driving to the East side of Idaho, the Southern tip of Montana in Yellowstone, and the Northeastern corner of Utah so places all around there would be good too. "Mom and Pop" type places usually top our lists...Thanks guys!

Driving from NJ to Cleveland

Primanti Brother's is good - huge burgers w/ fries and coleslaw, good pizza. There are a couple of them around and in Pittsburgh. I've taken very short detours off the highway to get to one.

Where can I find my idea of a perfect NYC pizza?

Pepperoni Mushroom good old fashioned new york style pizza. This is what we are looking for. Who's got it?

Close to Severance Hall, or on the way from West Park

Thanks for the input. We actually ended up at Trattoria's Roman Gardens in Little Italy. Very reasonable prices and we were very happy with the food and service. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and it was very flavorful and my husband ordered Chicken Marsala, which was not on the menu, but the server had no problem substituting chicken for veal. We are definitely going back. Cozy little place.

My husband and I are going to see the Cleveland Orchestra. Of course we a getting a bit "dressed up" to go and we would like to try a new restaurant that is welcoming to our dress, but not exactly purse stealing. Any suggestions of an elegant, $15-$20 avg. priced meal restaurant on the Cleveland's west side, or near Severance Hall/University Circle? Thank you!
