brew pubs?
going to be in manhattan meeting up with some old friends on Friday night. none of them are particularly big foodies so we're looking a reasonaby priced brew pub that has reasonable pub fare and a great beer selection. probably going to be going out on the east side afterwards, but would consider a westside place and some travel for some good food /beer. any ideas?
montreal for a day
ALSO, don't know where we're staying, but i imagine that it will be near city center (is there a city center) and we will have car access during the day but have no designated driver access at night.
all places don't need to be large group specific because we're more than willing to split.
montreal for a day
I'm going to be in Montreal starting this Saturday morning for about 24 hours of Canadian fun. Looking for some ideas regarding where to grab lunch / dinner / drinks at night. First time in town and I have NO CONCEPT of anywhere to go, so some touristy stuff may be okay if they really are places that you "have to go". Lunch should probably be a quicker time frame since we're going to be seeing the city but dinner can be a sit down (moderately priced if possible). Mixed group so ideas for clubs / bars can include ideas for both the dancers and the drinkers, but since we're in town for only a night we would appreciate not sitting on line for 2 hours to get into some hot club.

Thanks for the help.
holes in the wall
coming down the NO with a few other yankees and are looking for breakfast/lunch/dinner holes in the wall that only the locals know about. want to experience the "true" new orleans and not the overpriced / under quality drivel that gets shoved on tourists. any suggestions?
