Kosher in Boca Raton

I have to go to Boca Raton for the day on 3/24 for a meeting. Is there any kosher food near 301 Northeast 51st Street or a restaurant that delivers? I probably won't really have time to travel for meals - airport, meeting and back to airport.

Orlando

We go a couple of times a year to visit family. If you are at the convention center Kosher Culinary is your closest bet. Food is eh and ambience is non-existent, but they are next to the chabad and had a recent change in ownership which may be improving things (our last visit was early July). There is also a foodtruck under the vaad that sells israeli food that is not too bad a drive away. Only a couple of outdoor tables. Lower East Side Restaurant has kosher/deli ambiance and a decent menu. There is also a new place in a hotel near disney which took over from a place that used to be pretty good, though we have yet to try it. The Chabad of South Orlando website has an updated list of what is available.

Kosher in Orlando

We are regular visitors to Orlando (2 or more times per year), but from what we've read online a lot has changed since our last visit in December. A couple of questions:

1) Is Kosher Culinary (or a new restaurant in the same location) still there? How is the food?
2) I know Cohen's at the hotel closed, but is there a new kosher restaurant that has taken it's place? On FB, something was posted about a Voka Kosher restaurant, but when I replied to the post I got no response.
3) How is the food from Kosher on Wheels? How good is their delivery? Do they park somewhere so you can pick up?
4) How is Lower East Side Kosher?
5) Are there any other options I am not thinking of (we are not going to Disney or Ormond Beach).

Thanks.

Suggestions for family restaurant Teaneck

Mocha Bleu. Dairy place, with a menu that can please any type of crowd (from daters to families with kids). Check out their menu online. Great cakes and deserts, particularly imprtant for a birthday party. Smokey Joe's is also good, though you have to be in the mood for a heavy meal. Noah's Ark is also a good solid deli with food that will appease everybody, though nothing special.

Kosh , Stamford Ct.

My wife and I were there on Sunday for lunch (and to get gas) and were not impressed. We had the sliders as appetizers which were cooked well done to the point of being burned, as were the buns. Incredibly dry. We never got to state our cooking preference for them. For the main meal I had the aloha burger medium rare and it was still not all that juicy or flavorful. They also neglected to put the smoked meat on top of the burger and gave it to me later, on the side.

On the plus side, my wife's chili was good, as were the cajun fries and mashed potatoes. The service was good and I enjoyed watching the game, even if the Giants were getting beat. However, the food was just not worth schlepping to Connecticut for when Carlos and Gabby's and the Stand in Riverdale are much closer and, imho, tastier.

Tivall vegetarian schnitzel in NYC/ North NJ area?

Has anyone seen the Tivall vegetarian schnitzel in the NYC area? This is one of my favorite products and I haven't seen it anywhere in Queens.

Thanks!

Good Restaurant in Teaneck

I don't get to Teaneck much, but when I do I go to Smokey Joe's because it is the only kosher bbq place. Food is usually pretty good (love the brisket and the cornbread), though there are times I have been there (such as Sun lunch) when the food is mediocre. I went to Chaiko Tapas with my wife for our anniversary and was pleasantly surprised - very tasty food.

Kosher Delight In Manahattan is closing

Kosher Deluxe used to be a Kosher Delight on 45th and 6th. When they moved to the current location a small hole in the wall schwarma place that was across the street from the current location became part of the restaurant (they did not have shwarma before). That's when they became Kosher Deluxe. what that means with respect to the ownership/franchise situation, I have no clue.

New Deli on Main St , KGH

My wife and I stopped there for the schwarma on Sunday hoping it would be as good as Grill Express was. My wife thought it was fine but I was disappointed - the lafa was too thick, less of a variety of salads, meat not as flavorful. On the plus side, the staff was in training and they were incredibly attentive to our needs - much more so than the staff at Grill Express was. While I would go back there, I would not go out of my way to do so (at least for the Israeli).

Kosher Russian in NY?

There is restuarant named Svetsarah (sp?) located in the old Dougie's space on Main Street in KGH. I've never been but the menu looks interesting.

Freezing Cholent

My wife was wondering if it is possible to make cholent and freeze it until the shabbos? We do it a lot with gumbo and chili, making weeks or months in advance and defrosting on either Thursday or Fri to then heat for shabbos.

Does anyone know if any of the kosher restaurants or supermarkets will be open on chol hamoed this year? Because it is a long chol hamoed (no shabbos) my wife and I were thinking of going.

My wife and I were thinking of going around New Years. Is there anything kosher open in the area this time of year (I know there is seasonal stuff in the summer and chol hamoed sukkos).

Kosher Delivery in Downtown Baltimore

A follow-up question: has anyone taken the subway from the inner harbor to 7 mile market. According to google and the Baltimore subway website there is a stop a couple of blocks from my hotel and one less than half a mile from 7 Mile Market.

My trip was postponed until next month so I am just refreshing the post to see if anyone has any other thoughts. I am supposed to have a fridge/microwave in my room which should help.

Dad is an observant Jew. I am an observant Chowhound. Where can we eat in New York City and both be satisfied?

On 48th proper both Wolf and Lamb (Steakhouse) and Cafe K (dairy) are both good options. Wolf and Lamb may be a bit more than 20 at dinner time, though it can be done for 30pp. Cafe K is more in the 20 range and has good food (fish/pasta/desserts). To my knowledge, both have hashgachas that are fairly universally accepted.
