Hmm, this is really hard. I'd have to say, a goat biryani with potatoes that my mom makes. Restaurant-wise? Way too many to even start... I mean, what do you expect, we live in NYC!!!
My current drink of choice:
My mom's Pina Colada (see a theme here?) or a fruit cocktail from a shawarma stand in the UAE.
I really wish I could:
Open my own restaurant with easy to cook, fresh and delicious meals inspired by the Farmer's Market.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
My signature Mac 'N' Cheese. I've made it with up to 9 cheese and beef bacon (sorry, no pork). Needless to say, there's never any left...
My favorite comfort food:
Hmm, sorry, but it'd have to be biryani, even though good restaurant biryani is hard to find and it's a bit labor intensive to make at home. A good goat biryani with spicy green raita has to be it...
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Hmm, again, this is hard because of NYC. Well, so far: Kabab King (Jackson Heights), Golden Unicorn (Chinatown Dim Sum), Bar Americain/Mesa Grill (R.I.P. BoLo), Otto (am trying Babbo soon so I might revise) and finally Del Frisco's (am trying Peter Luger's soon so will revise, haha).
My most tattered cookbooks:
The one where I wrote down the recipes my mom gives me. allrecipes.com or foodnetwork.com.
