Compost bags?

I can't answer your post about where to get the bags but I can say that they don't compost fully. I gave up using them a long time ago as they don't completely breakdown. I was pulling them out of my compost pile for a whole year afterwards.....sorry!
Maybe in a commercial facility they breakdown but not in a home composter.

Acton, Sudbury, Concord Environs: Anything new and different?

we tried Paani last week based on this recommendation and we were impressed! A new favorite - small and cozy place but the staff are very welcoming and the food was very fresh and flavorful - you could actually pick out individual ingredients.

Acton, Sudbury, Concord Environs: Anything new and different?

We had dinner at 80 Thoreau on Thursday - it was noisy and very warm (can't blame the restaurant for the weather!) but the food was outstanding. Some of the best Gnocchi I've had!

Sushi in Lexington?

We used to be regular's at Ginger in Bedford but now it's closed we're looking for a new place.
Any suggestions for sushi in the local area of lexington/bedford?

Davis Square's "Foundry on Elm"

we had dinner on Saturday 10/16....it was mobbed, crazy, insane, busy
our pre-reserved table was ready when we arrived which was good as there wasn't even standing room at the bar
food was good, service was good but we couldn't even shout over the background noise to hear each other speak

all in all it wasn't worth the trauma of parking or the stressed vocal chords from shouting at each other all night

Bergamot - outstanding!

ditto! we ate there on Tuesday night and I also noticed the portions sizes had increased from a few weeks ago - makes me quite sad as it was just perfect before...
Still my utterly favorite place to eat though....

Where should a chowhound stay in Boston?

Liberty Hotel is my favorite hotel in Boston - two thumbs up from me...

Going to see Wicked!

Teatro - and they have a special pre-theatre menu too...

Any good Restaurant Week reports?

@bella_sarda - sorry I didn't reply sooner - my friend had the gazpacho which she enjoyed - she had the lobster BLT too and the chocolate dessert....
we just had RW dinner at Harvest and both remarked that it was better (and cheaper due to the supplements) than the RW lunch at L'Espalier
I really wanted to enjoy the lunch at L'Espalier as I had enjoyed some amazing dinners at L'Espalier before but it was very below par....very sad

RW - L'Espalier Lunch

I had RW lunch at L'Espalier yesterday and it was very disappointing. Service was unattentive and very very slow - I had to ask for bread, then butter, to order wine, to order coffee. The salad appetizer was under-seasoned and the squid was tasteless. The Lobster BLT was very tasty - but it should have been for a $12 supplement. Dessert (peach and coconut gateaux) was good.
I haven't been to L'Espalier since they moved to the new location and this lunch hasn't inspired me to return.

I lurve the duck duck duck salad and the plantain gnochhi - yummmm

Anniversary Dinner

Bergamot gets my vote - it's my current favorite place in Cambridge.
Last weekend we went to Menton and one of the questions I asked my hubby was ' what would you like more - one trip to Menton or 3 trips to Bergamot' and the winner was....Bergamot!

Oleana review

Food is still excellent after all these years but I agree that that the tables are too close together. I prefer to sit at the bar as you get more space!

Late Nice(ish) Sunday Night Dinner near Fanueil Hall/North End

Try the Woodward at the Ames Hotel - just a short walk from Fanueil Hall - they serve dinner until midnight

Rialto offers a regular Saturday cooking class and lunch...

Can You Recommend Nice Restaurant near Mass General Hospital?

Scampo in the Liberty Hotel gets my vote

East by Northeast - Open

thanks for the review - any ideas what their opening hours are?

Dining at Sportello & Sofra

Sportello is quite casual - sit at the bar style seating with fixed chairs or in the handful of tables and chairs around the edges. Its definitely more casual that No9 - but I've seen business lunchers and the post-work crowd there.

Haven't done breakfast at Sofra but the lunch is great. Its counter service with seating for maybe 25 people?
Be sure to grab a whole bunch of things to go too - they have great takeout meals as well as their pastries and breads.

Woodward at the Ames

interesting as we too had an over-salted entree experience too...

Woodward at the Ames

yes - it's black tea and elderberry flavored... we picked some up from genetti's in bedford...
