restaurant for large group fun dinner
Hi all -
We are hosting a dinner in San Diego in March in connection with a conferencne. Looking for a fun place with good food (preferably something local). Would need to be able to accomodate about 80 on a weeknight. The conferencne hotel is near the gas light district, so nothing too too far from there. Any ideas would be greatly appreciate. Miami Restaurant with local flavor to host large group
Hi all -
I will be in Miami at a conference in late february. Need to host a dinner for about 100 people. Looking for something sort of local, not touristy, no more than $100 per person. We were thinking maybe cuban or latin. Last time hosted at China Grill. Loved the food, but looking for something more down scale - less elegant, more low key and fun. Thanks for any suggestions. adb
Winter 2009 Restaurant Week Reviews
Had a wonderful dinner at La Morra last night. They are doing RW in a different way this year. Full menu. Can order 3 courses for $33.09 or get anything that you want a la carte. Basically the whole menu is available - just pick one thing from each category. I was much happier not having to order a main course by the time I got done with the Cicchetti (polpetti, arancini and pickled veggies), the cauliflower app, and the pasta (an amazing parsnip ravioli with pancetta and oyster mushrooms). It was all amazing. Great service at the bar - including a lovely little amuse buche from the kitchen.
