Fine Dining in New Jersey
Hi, I am looking for a restaurant for our family to take my father in law to who is celebrating his 90th birthday... He is sharp as a tack, more like 60 then 90. Can anyone suggest nice restaurants to take him to...We thought of The Manor, however they are closed on Saturday afternoons.. We want to stay north of the jersey shore for traffic reasons..Anywhere from Newark north..Someone mentioned Highlawn, however they do not serve Saturday lunches either...Thank you for any help
Columbus's Smith and Wollensky?? - moved from Midwest board
Thank you so much for your feedback...I am looking at the menu now and trying to decide what three entrees would be best...With 65 people, I am assuming if I choose one of each (seafood, chicken and steak) I will have it covered...The most important thing aside from having hopefully great food, is having fun...It was extremely difficult to find a place in Columbus that would hold 65 people, other than a true "banquet hall"..
Thank you again!!!!
Columbus's Smith and Wollensky?? - moved from Midwest board
I have now pretty much narrowed down my choices for rehearsal dinner for 65 people..It is between Smith and Wollenskys in Easton town center or McCormick and Schmicks in Easton town center...Anyone have any thoughts on either, I would really appreciate it...Thank you...
Opinions please on McCormick and Schmidts in Columbus [moved from Midwest]

Rehearsal dinner near Columbus, OH airport
I have been looking for the same thing, however in September...It is really hard to find a place to seat over 40...We have 65+ people and I have called EVERY restaurant in Columbus..Literally!!! So here are some that I called, that were not available date wise...Brio in Easton, Bexley Monk, G Michaels, Lindeys(really fun) in German Village, Mitchells Steakhouse, Columbus fish market, River Club at Confluence park, Barcelona, Gorden & Beirsch, Hyde Park Steakhouse(pricey), Clarmont(old style steakhouse). I will get my list out and send you the rest...I know all of these have private dining and I have spoken to all of them...Dates go quickly, as I am having a hard time finding a place for September...I hope this helps..Also they are all willing, if they don't have availability to give you suggestions...
anyone been to the River Club in Columbus?
I am looking for reviews on the river club in columbus? Has anyone been there and can you give me feedback please.
restaurants in columbus german village?
Thank you everyone for all of your ideas...I did look into cameron mitchell restaurants on line, and they don't seem to have rooms large enough to hold 65 people..UNFORTUNATELY...I think one of those restaurants would be perfect...We are all real seafood lovers and given this was to be a beach wedding, I thought it would be fun to have rehearsal dinner at a seafood place..Does anyone know of other seafood restaurants..I am looking into Columbus fish market..I also saw a name on line R.J. Snappers??? Cannot locate their website...I am hoping to find something soon..Places seem to be already booked...The easton area looks great as well
restaurants in columbus german village?
I just need to be sure it has something for everyone...are there any seafood/steakhouses in the area? Lindeys would have been perfect if it wasn't already booked...The Arena area is also another possibility..Again, I really appreciate all this help..Thank you.
