I wasn't sure if a link would have worked so I figured it was just as easy to C&P.
Hey....while we are talkin bout AH....anyone been to copper canyon lately? I need to go soon. Miss me sum crab cakes :->
The Wine Bar in Atlantic Highlands
The entrance was on the same side as the street is. Facing the building it was to the right side.
There is a set of glass doors that lead you upstairs to the Wine Bar.
To be honest....I don't know whether they are part of eachother or whether they just share the building....there was no connection to the two from the inside, that I noticed, so I would imagine they are seperate businesses.
Overall, the answer to your question is.....it's definitely the same building....the entrance is on the street side to the right and it operates above the Harborside. I hope this is helpful :-> good luck
Rehearsal Dinner - Red Bank
I can only speak from one experience there but The Wine Bar in Atlantic Highlands is gorgeous and the food we had was great and service was "on"...I would say they could def do a party of that size...and forget about bringin your own wine.....ummm the name is the The Wine Bar ;-> Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I just reviewed the wine bar on the boards...(if you wanna call what I do "reviewing" lol I just like good places and like to share)
At minimum I would say definitely worth looking into :->

The Wine Bar in Atlantic Highlands
We went to The Wine Bar in Atlantic Highlands last Saturday. I cannot believe there isn't more buzz about this place. So I thought I would introduce you guys to it.
We were taking a day trip up to Sandy Hook to visit some friends and this place is all they talked about so we decided to join them there.
The ambiance when you walk in is very warm and modern. It really gives you a feeling of sophistication, but not in a snobby way....it's very welcoming.
I ordered:
Rocket Arugula Salad which has roquefort cheese, apples, candied pecans and cider vinaigrette. This is probably my favorite salad in a long time.
Roasted center cut filet mignon over roasted tuscan potatoes with bordelaise sauce and merlot butter. The flavors were fantastic and the filet was cooked well....which is always one of my pet peeves.
We even ordered a tasting of Cabernets which was I was very impressed with.
The service was very friendly and were on top of their game when we were there...and the manager held a very friendly presence...I will also add that she looks very familiar to me and she seemed to recognize me but I didn't want to ask from where to avoid looking like an idiot but I suspect it could be from another restaurant I frequented.
I would really like to hear if anyone else has been and what you ordered and of course what your impressions were.
After a google search when we got home I came up with the website and turns out they are on Open Table too...not much else though.
Check it out and let me know :->

A Little Bit of Cuba Coming Soon in Freehold, NJ!!!
I'm waiting to hear more good than bad. I actually stopped in just to pick up the menu after reading the posts. A little surprised at the prices...I would expect to pay that at a much higher quality restaurant not someplace that looks/feels like a pizzeria. If I did pay these prices I would hope that my service was excellent or above average not just "adorable". Not meant to be insulting...just not what I am looking for. I will bet she won't be so adorable after six months open & she doesn't know how to serve ya still. just food for thought.
Hannah and Mason's - Cranbury, NJ
Up for sale on Craigslist a couple weeks ago. A friend of mine in the business said one of those owners, the blonde guy, applied for his place as a server. I don't know how valid that is...he is more of an old friend but still can't see him making it up.

I am trying to be a little more diversified. lol.
I am a convenience shopper....the Freehold Mall is a really good option for me...I just don't like to eat there very much & if I do I go to that little deli/salad place in the foodcourt.
As I said...I have expanded....
I finally tried Drew's a couple weeks ago as a result of many raves on CL & the fact that my "favorite" cajun place, Bayou, has seriously slipped in quality & service. I'm hoping it's temporary and they recover but the future now looks dim after the last month or so. I have to say that I was extremely pleased about Drew's and can see why people are always raving. I am glad I did try it because honestly I wasn't going to for awhile. In a contest...Drew wins.

Hey Hemp,
I actually really enjoy Christie's. I agree it is usually a very good experience.
Mulligans...not a big fan.
Luchento's in Millstone Closed?
Probably not a scam...the time-frame seems short enough that they are just forming their plan...whatever that may be. I would be surprised to see them re-opening without renovating though...they attempted to run it as Luchento's but were smart enough to realize that no-one was buying into it.
Now tthey have to start over as something else...the damage is done.
Luchento's in Millstone Closed?
I have heard that Lucento's on Rt. 33 has shut it's doors. I tried calling for a friend who wanted to go there for his Birthday and there has definitely been no answer during businesss hours for the last few days. The rumor mill says...it's done.
I'm guessing the new owners didn't have any luck making it work.
If this is true or anyone knows anything for certain please post.
In addition...what kind of place would you like to see replace Luchento's? (If it is in fact closed for good.)
Ibby's Falafel Freehold
So I tried Ibby's yesterday and I believe that it's just not for me. The reason why I am still posting a review though is because the place was clean, the staff were very friendly and other customers seemed delighted with all of their choices.
I would like to reiterate that, honestly, Ibby's could be the best of it's kind...I just wouldn't know.
I would suggest ,based off my experience though, that you do try it out. Everyone I saw was pleased and I really like to support local places.

So I went to Ibby's yesterday...I was really excited to try it out...I found out though...it's really just not for me.
I tried the chicken shwarma, chicken kabob falafel and the birds nest dessert thing. The best of them was the kabob.
RGR- About That's Amore...I do remember the portions being large! Ha ha ha! I will say that I was already a few sheets in the wind by the time we got there and then we proceeded to share a couple nice bottles of wine. Maybe my memory is better than the experience..I will still have to go back to find out though.
Next on my list I think is going to be El Meson....I keep reading good things from you guys and seeing other good reviews online. I have to admit though...having not tried it yet...I don't know if I'll make it past the Bayou doors HA ha ha ha. I will get there though.
Sam Vera is second on the list. I love a good Italian place.

Angelina...I am not sure if I have ever had a Falafel...I have seen them but I never did it...I always found something different on the menu...I don't know why..I will try it out though sometime. Turkish...another one I haven't really delved in to yet...I am actually looking forward to this one! Thank you.
RGR...Sam Vera is definitely one I am looking forward to trying! I do love Italian food! It's tough to find a place that makes a really nice Italian meal. I had gone to That's Amore on rt 9 on one of my trips up here. I can't remember what exactly I had there it was so long ago but I thought they were really very good too. Good enough to remember that I definitely want to go back. I saw El Meson next to the Bayou...I am looking forward to the warmer weather...it looks like the patio is probably alot of fun..is it a BYO? Also, just as a point of reference...I was trying to be nice about Huddy's...lol...I tried to pull out it's one redeeming factor...cold beer. Thanks for the info though!
Hemp...I have a very good friend of mine that lives in Howell...somewhere over there by Woolly's Fish market...strickland rd I think...I have actually tried all of your places except for Sweet Lews for breakfast. I can say that I like your taste with the exception of Mulligans which I was just not impressed with. I just didn't like when I made the trip up and wound up at an avarage hole in the wall. Yes the Apps were good...and again...the beer was cold...I could do that anywhere though. Maybe it's just because it was earlier in the day and there wasn't enough going on yet. Although I love breakfast..I'm not really the kind of guy that goes out to breakfast...lol...cobwebs until lunch usually. lol Thanks.
Seal...Delicious Orchards...hmmm...never had anything better than their apple pie! I am already a delicious orchard fan! I don't know if I ever had a Falafel but it'll be worth trying. Kanji sounds very good! II have heard mention of Frankie Feds a couple times but I have to say....I was told by someone I usually trust that it wasn't worth it...and that the dinner stuck with them through the night if you know what I mean...let me know...what's safe/good there I will have to try it out for myself. Thanks.
Thanks to everyone so far...I now have to try to figure out a way to afford all these dinners! LOL I am very excited to see how it all turns out. I will keep you posted.

I am new to the area and have only tried a handful of places so far. What are some of your favorites in specifically Colts Neck, Freehold Borough, and Freehold Township? I noticed I usually navigate towards Freehold from Colts Neck. I would like to find more places in these areas specifically that I can frequent often. I'd also like to hear any opinions on the places I've been to so far. Try to pick your one favorite or favorite of each cuisine.
I've tried & worth mentioning:
Huddy's.....good hangout spot for a cold beer.
Federicis in the Freehold Borough...the best pizza so far.
Bayou Cafe in the Freehold Borough...awesome...(I left my review on the Bayou Cafe thread)
PF Changs at the mall there...very good...just like every other PF Changs I have ever been to.
Cheesecake Factory...the same deal.
Park Ave Seafood? Not sure if that's the name...Freehold...it was decent for me.
Thanks for your suggestions!
Fun BYOs in N. Monmouth County NJ
I agree Mark! What a place! I was there last weekend for the first time. What a welcomed change to the area. The food was great and the service was great too. I am really looking forward to going back.
Central Jersey Ice Cream
Ice cream on 9 in Howell is really pretty good. They make all of their own ice cream with alot of pretty exotic flavors. I have found them to be just as good as coldstone, if not better, and definitely cheaper.
