El Colima in Nashua, NH

Found our way to El Colima, a very cool hip little Mexican spot. I thought they had the best authentic Mexican in the world, or in Nashua, anyway. Huge menu for drinks and food. We asked our waitress to guide us and she did, very well. I loved my enchiladas verde and my man loved his carne flautas. The salsa and chips are fresh and house made. Cannot wait to return someday..wish it were closer to home. Oh, the cocktails are THE best. My boyfriend had an amazing Margarita with jalapeno and avocado! WOW....

Jamaica-best all inclusive for food?

Having lived and worked and traveled in the Caribbean since 87, I will say the best chance of getting local food is at breakfast when sometimes, the hotels will have saltfish and Ackee. Patties, I doubt it, perhaps the other dishes on occasion but here's my rec; when you arrive, ask the kitchen staff if they can serve you staff meals. I did that once in Jamaica. We also had a private cook at Round Hill and we had local food the entire time. It was heaven. Otherwise I know for sure Negril has some great local spots for lunches. Not a personal fan of AI so wish you'd reconsider and dine around..you miss out so much being stuck in the hotel, IMHO. The only place I do MAP is at The Reefs in Bermuda. We have stayed in Jamaica a bunch of times and loved dining around. I will say, don't drive (I did!)..The Junta cabs are insane. Take taxis wherever you go ... :)

Brick Pizzaria Napoletana - New Bedford

Well, our long awaited dining adventure to Brick came to fruition this weekend. First off, I have to say, I love New Bedford. The dining options are great and the bars are so fun. Brick offered a fun start to a wonderful night (ended the night at Slainte, a fun Irish pub). The dining room sy Brick is a typical brightly lit pizza place. The menu is creative and the wine list, affordable. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Caprese with Proscuitto on one half for my meat eating boyfriend and we also ordered the Puntanesca pizza. For wine we chose a Montepulciano (22.00). Pizzas fire up quick here. Service is super fast. Had high expectations based on Yelp reviews. Regretfully, I wasn't blown away. I didn't feel the pies possessed any real flavor if that makes sense. Whilst the server was super nice, we felt rushed to finish off our bottle of wine even though there were tables empty. We enjoyed our night overall but was not wowed by the pizza compared to other places we enjoy.

Oak & Ember Mashpee

I was across the street today at a neighboring business. I asked the owner about the place. She said it has potential but they have a lot of kinks to work out. It looks pretty. So many dining spots in that area that are consistent according to this business owner. She loves Soprano's, Sienna and Wicked. Mashpee is far from where I tend to dine so cannot personally comment. I have dined nearby at Bleu and liked it very much. Let us know how it goes when you try O&E.

Make and Freeze Ahead Dish for 10

I am hosting a dinner the night I arrive from a two week business trip. I want to make ahead and freeze a lovely dish. The obvious choice is lasagna but I would love to get creative. The only parameters are no red meat so a pasta dish or chicken dish is fine. Thanks so much!!

Turks in Marion, MA - Sushi Heaven

My date and I drove to Marion in search of sushi brunch. The spot, located on charming Rte. 6 is small and cozy. The staff, welcoming and accommodating. Our waitress, Liz, was a gem. She totally deserved the huge thank you gratuity we offered after her amazing service. We chose spicy tuna hand rolls (massive), a tempura scallop roll and an eel avocado roll (dragon roll). The rolls were amazing. We also had house made Bloody Mary's. They were spicy and delicious. It was the perfect Sunday brunch in all regards. We are now fans of Turks.

Breakfast in New Bedford- Help Me Choose

RA has a fun vibe and fun bar and great wings..I have tried most of the varieties. I have to say, if I was choosing food, I'd go to Cork and eat over RA but they are both great for different reasons. Slainte is a fun spot too. The night we went, they had 5.00 steak tips. I don't red meat but my date does and he loved them.

May do the Irish 5K this Saturday and after, will hit Turks for sushi brunch. Didn't get to Rose Alley last week as we slept in but will definitely report back on their brunch. New Bedford is hopping. So glad my date lives there. We are going to Brick March 14. That place looks amazing.

Lim's Fine Thai and Sushi in Providence

We were heading back from snowboarding and stopped in town. I used another food site to check out the sushi options in Providence. We struck gold at Lim's. Nestled in a charming trendy neighborhood, we scored up front street parking and walked in at 4 PM for a late lunch early supper.

Great atmosphere, super staff, creative menu, amazing drinks and wicked good sushi..much cheaper than options on Cape Cod as well. The Rainbow Roll was delicicious. Loved the Unagi. We also had a special tuna roll which was divine. My date loved his Saketini and my house made Mai Tai was yummy....such a great spot!

White Mountain Cider Co- N. Conway

Ben, the waiter made the night 5 stars. Food is amazing, very rich, very creative, heavy on the meat. The setting is cozy, very warm (too hot for our comfort) with roaring fire and mostly dim lights. We had a blazing spotlight over our heads that brought on a slight headache.

To the food, the bread, oh dear GOD the bread. It is chewy with a hard crust and a ramekin of unsalted butter came that I could slather all over my slices..CARB heaven. LOVE the wine list....love the house made potato chips with the dill horseradish sauce. I wasn't feeling too well so passed on en entree and chose two apps. I had a lovely roasted beet salad with pistachio, goat cheese and grilled radicchio. I then ordered crispy crab cakes. This is where it got interesting. I am half Armenian and we use shredded phyllo dough (Kadayif) a lot. A very rich dollop of crab mixture was rolled in this dough and baked. Really interesting, My date had the 16 oz Rib Eye with lobster risotto. OMG the risotto!
A very special spot indeed.

Caribbean Grilled Chicken Recipe? (Not jerk)

Sounds delish, I am sure you could ask/email? I make a nice marinade with ketchup and soy and rum and ginger and garlic and some sort of sweet such as agave or brown sugar!! Ya gotta add rice and beans (cooked with coconut milk, a scotch bonnet pepper whole and thyme)...

Did you dine on the French side? Updates welcome!
