AYCE Sushi in Vegas?
Island Sushi is the best AYCE I have had in Vegas. They also include Hawaiian appetizers and dessert. Lunch is 21.95 and dinner is 24.95. Well worth every penny.
All you can eat Sushi in Las Vegas?
sorry to hear that badtz...ddi you sit at the bar?...i was at a table, so maybe that is what made our dining experience different...anyway..they did keep asking us to try the different appetizers, but each time, i usually just ordered more sushi/rolls...and it was no problem
however, speaking of appetizers...their deep fried geso (baby octupus or squid), garlic chicken, seaweed salad and poke were all pretty tasty...and he portions werent so big that it took away too much stomach space for my sushi...
THE HOT PINK CHICK BURGER TRUCK???????
http://babysbadassburgers.com/
that's the site with the menu...looks pretty good...
Looking for New Doughnuts
haha...yes...i simply pointed and said..."give me one of those"...haha...delicious nonetheless...
All you can eat Sushi in Las Vegas?
try island sushi and grill off the 215..eastern ave..the fish was very fresh..they don't overload the rice..and it also includes hawaiian appetizers and ice cream for dessert...lunch is $21 and dinner is $25...its probably the best all you can eat that i've had...
Looking for New Doughnuts
randy's donuts makes an "apple crepe" that sounds pretty similar to these burritos...fried with cinnamon and sugar on the outside..apple pie like filling in the middle...
pretty tasty in my opinion...and it costs about $1 or something...worth a try if you are there...
If one HAD to pick a buffet in Vegas...
ive tried most of the "luxury" or "gourmet" buffets on the strip...and the best...by far...are the bellagio and wynn...id say the bellagio has a better dinner...but the wynn has a better brunch...
bellagio at dinner because they had better carving stations...crab legs and seafood were pretty equal on both parts...dessert at bellagio is better, aside from the gelato/ice cream at the wynn...
wynn for brunch because their standard fare..omelettes, waffles, pancakes, bacon, etc...is much better han the bellagio...everything else is hit or miss depending on your visit...
mirage buffet is one of the worst ive ever had...nothing had taste...even though they had different stations...it was among the worst buffets ive tried...
planet hollywood is pretty much a more luxurious "low-end" buffet (think excalibur, etc)...because they had just regular foods, but they actually tasted decent and not like hometown...so if that's your flavor, then go for it...
i want to try the new M buffet that ive heard a lot of good things about...and i also know that a lot of buffets are offering day passes for about $30, which means you can eat there all day with a wrist band..MGM and Luxor are 2 that I know are offering this deal so far...which is pretty cheap considering the high end buffets will run you about that much or more...
BBQ: Let's quantify! (yeah, right)
i'm no expert like where this post seems to be getting to...but here is how I judge my bbq...once again...im just a bbq fan/junkie...
-good crust
-tender meat
-does not need to be covered in sauce to be enjoyed
maybe too simple of an answer for some of you...haha
How do you order your burger and fries at in n out burger?
good choice tomswift...
i have the same..but one protein style and one regular style...mmm mmm gooooood....
Santa Monica Breakfast?
This is one place on my list that I have been meaning to go to. Looks delicious. Not quite Santa Monica, but close enough I think.

Peanut Butter -- how do you eat it (and on what kinds of different foods)?
JungMann,
You talking about the Filipino dish, kare kare? I love that stuff!
Help for good eats in the Chino Hills area
Joey's BBQ is a pretty good place to go and its very near Big League Dreams Field.

My first visit to Trader Joe's is today...anything I must buy or look for??
grab a jar of the flaxseed peanut butter (red top)...you will not be disappointed...its made with valencia peanuts...
What's the best thing to put ketchup on?
best - hashbrowns...
worst - steak...yuck...
favorite brand - heinz...yum...
How do you like your pizza?
like: pepperoni and sausage or supreme/combination...
dislike: pineapple or any fruits, bleu cheese, bbq sauce..
pretty much anything that deviates from a traditional pizza with red sauce and good mozzarella isn't really like pizza to me..."whte" pizzas and pesto pizzas may be an exception, but most of these so-called gourmet pizzas are more like flat breads with topping as opposed ot my definition of "pizza"
Family Sushi
Ichima Sushi in Pasadena (off Rosemead) has decent sushi at very good prices...
new vitamin water 10: weird-tasting
stevia would be the cause of that bitter taste (almost like licorice if you try it alone)...it can also be very sweet if not controlled...i currently use sweetleaf packets (innulin fiber and stevia) and the package says that it is equivalent to 2 tsp of regular sugar for sweetness..
best national brand peanut butter?
having been on a ketogenic diet for the past few months..peanut butter is one of my "treats"...
my faves so far are..
-laura scudders natural
-trader joe's organic crunchy
i have some adam's pb on the way from their site since i could not manage to find it in store...anyone have an opinion on that?
What was your favourite childhood concoction, which you now think is disgusting?
I used to eat:
-ritz or club crackers with butter
-tortilla chips with kethup (because salsa was too spicy for me back then)
-sliced cheese with butter and milk melted in the microwave and served with tortilla chips - kinda like nachos i guess..
-those small half and half containers at denny's etc...just drink them straight til my food came...
now i would not eat any of those things...haha
What's your favorite box cookie
pepp. farms chessmen
pepp. farms mint brussels
g. scout samoas
soft baked chocolate chip/oatmeal raisin
trader joe's mini choc. chip cookies in the plastic buckets...
yummm..
Chronic Taco in West LA
Agreed on all points. Chronic taco has to be the most overrated mexican fast food I have tasted down here. The tortillas taste like mission tortillas from the grocery store, nachos were soggy, meat was not tasty. Bleh. Overall, very disappointed. I'd rather go to Albertos, Robertos, Alertos or any other -ertos for mexican food that wil be a few dollars cheaper and tastes 100 times better.
Best Cinnamon Rolls
co-sign on the cinnabon comment...they're good for about the outer layer (i eat mine out to in...haha)...then i start feeling sick too
I will not pay for that!
co-sign..i feel the same way about mexica food..i dont see how it can be upscale..yes..you could use better quality meat, ingredients, etc...but in the end..after all spices are added...to me, it tastes almost exactly the same as something "regular" priced...
i also share the same opinion about chinese food...PF Changs has to be one of the biggest rip-offs in my opinion...sure they use a diff cut of meat for the dish, but once all the sauces are added (mongolian, sweet and sour, etc), it tastes almost exactly the same as a local spot in chinatown...
long beach dinning?
bouchees bistro on 4th and long beach blvd...its a burger and fries plate, with just enough "fanciness" for grown ups...they have both sliders and regular size burgers...and also have ahi tuna and turkey burgers to go along with the traditional beef...the cupcakes there are also pretty good from what i've heard...
Good Eats Near LAX
Ayara Thai is pretty good and really close by...like 5 min away...

Lavo at Palazzo
I went to Lavo back when it first opened in September of last year, and here is what I can remember.
-Food is pretty good, but portions are pretty small since its a tapas-like/sharing type of meal.
-It is pretty expensive if you plan on making that your dinner.
If I were to return there, I would have an early dinner (6pm-ish) some place with normal sized portions, the have a later, pre-party meal (9-10pm-ish) there with drinks, desserts, and tapas because the atmosphere is very good and lively.
Cheesecake Factory..I am being forced to go
I think the Santa Fe Salad and Jambalaya Pasta (sub rice instead of pasta) are pretty good there. I also enjoy their sandwiches and pizzas. The food there in general isn't gourmet, but its simple and satisfying in my opinion.
Has anyone ever tried their sliders?
