Dinner on Christmas Day, 1978, at a French restaurant in Canterbury, England--turkey and all the trimmings. I was twenty, spending my first Christmas away from home, and painfully homesick. I was vastly underdressed and clearly out of my element, and yet they made me feel like their most valued guest ever.
My current drink of choice:
a GOOD margarita (quality tequila, Grand Marnier or Cointreau rather than Triple Sec, and fresh-squeezed lime juice--NO botttled margarita mix!)
I really wish I could:
have the time, money and stamina to cook all the interesting things I want to try.
