Does anyone have experience with De Buyer mineral steel pans? I'd like some feedback before I invest in one.
Wolf oven worst customer service
I have a 5 year old Wolf 30" wall oven. The glass door contunually fogs and after using the self clean setting yesterday the blue porcelain floor of the oven has begun to peel off leaving an exposed metal surface. Customer service knows of the problem and refuses to do anything about it. I am questioning why I purchased an appliance in excess of $4000 to have it self destruct in a few years. To be sure I will never purchase another Wolf product. Unfortunately I also own a Sub Zero fridge and a 36" Wolf gas range. Anyone one else have a similar problem?
What discontinued products do you miss?
That product really should be available today....simple and delicious. Of course it they were made today the ingredient list would probably be endless and full of chemicals & hfcs!

That's actually how I feel..........I just want the non stick for "some things"!
By the way I also love my 9 1/2 qt Le Creuset. Useful for tons of things. I use it at least twice a week if not more.

I have a cast iron and it's wonderful. But you really don't want to put anything acidic in it. I know, nothing browns like cast iron. Cleaning and caring for it is simple, mine is as smooth as glass and it's probably 40+ years old. I picked it up at a tag sale for a buck! Only issue is that it's just 9". But you are making me think I should get a new 12" anyway.
I want the non stick for certain things.......maybe I'll just get a cheapie and toss it when it wears out.
non stick fry pan dilemma
I'm looking for a new 12" non stick fry pan. Needs to take high heat and I'd like to be able to use metal tools in the pan. I've been told the Scanpan is good and so is Swiss diamond.
I'd love some feedback. I don't trust the sales help in the stores!

It seems that when you're young everyone seems older and when you're older everyone else is young. Age is meaningless since the group shares a common interest.

By the time I scrolled to the last post I got the courage to come clean about my age: 61! Yikes, it's really scary to see that in print. Anyhow it does not diminish my addiction to all things culinary.
