Mango & Raspberry sorbet....help!

Hi, I want to buy mango and raspberry sorbet in bulk for a party dessert and am having a hard time finding it.
Haagen Daaz pints are the only option I've found and I need a few gallons of each, so that gets pricey?
Ideas please!!!!

DEEELICIOUS Greek yogurt made with grass fed milk [moved from Los Angeles board]

Apparently this company makes 2% and whole milk yogurt, and WF currently does not carry it locally.

DEEELICIOUS Greek yogurt made with grass fed milk [moved from Los Angeles board]

This week I discovered GreekPastures, a new greek yogurt made with grass fed milk at WholeFoods. OMG!!!
Its made with non-fat milk and the grass fed yogurt is SO creamy and smooth it's hard to believe it non-fat.
There are flavors like black cherry with port wine (my favorite), peach-ginger and vanilla caramel (like creme brulee).
The demo guy said its a small chef-owned company from Atlanta that WF just made national.
A truly hound worthy find!

Best water-processed decaf?

I've tried water-processed decaf a few time in the past and always found it lacking....including Graffeo. For the new year I want to give it a try again.
What are the best water-processed decafs you all have found?
Thx and Happy 2014!

Help!!!! - Business lunch off the 405 in the north Valley

I need a hotel, coffee shop or restaurant off the 405 between the 101 and 118 for a business meeting. Quiet enough to talk with decent food.
Any ideas....THX!

Mi's Italian Bistro, Kona coast

Totally agree! We found Mi's last year and ate there three times in two weeks. The soups were always delicious, as was everything else we had.
WIll be in Kona again in teo weeks and looking forward to it.
Rapanui is also a real gem.

What's new on the Big Island?

Will be staying on the Kona side for two weeks. What's the latest from Captain Cook to Honoka'a?

Also which stores/markets to buy the best fresh fish and veggies, as we're staying at a house and will be cooking. I usually shop at KTA.

Water Grill Santa Monica - Anyone been....What's the word?

Have a reservation for tomorrow night. Worth it or not?
If not, what is a better fish (not shellfish) option on the westside?

Agree with Kevin. I loved it too. Great sausages , dogs and buns! I'd go to Century City just for World Links.

SALADS - LA Dish of the Month (August 2013)

I love the Fresh Corn Grilled salad with salmon. One of our faves.
Other than the Ivy, who has a similar grilled veg type of salad?

Where to buy single-serving peanut butter?

Thanks Hounds. Amazon has a variety of single-serving offerings. Found a few peanut butters, almond butter mentioned by Maudie, and Nutella. Using it as a snack at a gathering of 200 people, so its an easy grab and go kind of thing.

What is your favorite donut in LA right now and where ?

How could you leave out the peanut butter & jelly donut....currently my favorite of the Stan's peanut butter holy trinity!
Stan's cinnamon pretzel donuts are pretty good too.

Where to buy single-serving peanut butter?

I tried Smart & Final and Costco and they did not have the individual servings you get at hotel buffets or other places like that. Any Hounds know where to get these single serving snacks?

What is your favorite donut in LA right now and where ?

After years of Stan's as my main donut fix, I have switched to DKs. May be blasphemy to say, but I prefer their peanut butter & chocolate to Stan's. Either my taste buds have changed, or Stan's has, but its not what it used to be.
I like DK's creme filled donuts and apple fritter too.

SANDWICHES - LA Dish of the Month (July 2013)

I know the thread is about sandwiches, but since the Coop is mentioned, have to say it's my favorite "pizza place" slice.
A fresh cheese pie from the Coop is pretty tasty pizza!

Los Angeles Restaurants in the 80's

I lived about a three minute walk to Butterfield's, on Sunset (Where the House of Blues is currently located). A leisurely brunch on the patio was as good as it got back then. A cozy dinner near the fireplace on a winter's night was pretty fine too. A great ambiance and pretty good food. I miss it!

Los Angeles Restaurants in the 80's

I'm pretty sure Caioti in Laurel Canyon was an 80"s spot. Ed Ledou's bbq chicken pizza and others were the first...after he left Wolfgang of course.

SANDWICHES - LA Dish of the Month (July 2013)

I still recall the first time I had a cheeseburger at Philly West. The moment the sandwich hit my taste buds, I had the taste sensation of cheeseburger hoagies I had eaten growing up in Pittsburgh over thirty years ago. They're channeling some real Philly energy!

Poke

Well, poke is subjective like everything else, but at WFM in Redondo, its always been heavy with sesame oil and lacks that fresh taste that makes poke so good.

Poke

I don't recommend Whole Foods. Too much sesame oil.
I haven't tried it at Marukai Market, but their sushi is very good so I'd give that a try.
I agree with Bristol Farms.

Fish Grill - Casual, Simple, Tasty

Ate at the Pico store for the first time.
The salmon was remarkably moist and my wife loved the white fish.
Don't know if it was the fish or the oil, but my leftovers were delicious the next day for lunch as well.
I'll be back!

Quest for LA's best croissants

Cafe Chaumont in Beverly HIlls have excellent croissant, bread and pastries. A young french couple runs the place and everything including breakfast and tart tartine has been delicious.
