Worth the fuss, no.

Considering the president of the hotel left after 2 months and the issues Sam N has had, I'd guess there are serious problems.

Robert Irvine's Second Restaurant Closes

If you go his website, it lists his live shows for the next 3 months.

Tickets top out at around $175 for the next show, so evidently he is making money.

Deli Man, The Movie

Sure, I'm not at home but 2 of my favorites are Save The Deli (author eats his way through delis across the US) and America's Great Delis, which includes recipes.

I've also eaten at every deli in Southern California, as well as the major ones in NY.

Deli Man, The Movie

No, but thanks for pointing this out.

I have several books on Jewish-style delis.

Grilled/cooked avocados?

Recipe, or did you just come up with it?

Grilled/cooked avocados?

That sounds good. I tried to replicate the avocado eggrolls from Cheesecake Factory without success.

Giada De Laurentiis and Husband to Divorce

Please, I can read. They have been together since she was in college.

What if he was the one cheating? Or what if neither was?

Panties in a bunch is a common expression- sorry if you were creeped out.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, but why would it be poor guy as well?

So with knowing nothing, you assume the breakup is her cheating?

May I vent? (living with a reasonably Chowish person who isn't quite a Chowhound..)

No point in continuing.

Happy New Year to you-

May I vent? (living with a reasonably Chowish person who isn't quite a Chowhound..)

That wasn't what I posted, if you are replying to me.

I can relate, my grandmother used to complain about my grandfather at the grocery- but that was 30 years ago. Evidently, things haven't changed for some.

Married 30 years- I would guess that is plenty of time to learn how to shop and earn a PhD.

May I vent? (living with a reasonably Chowish person who isn't quite a Chowhound..)

I just find it odd that the majority of the replies to this thread are from women posting about their confused husbands who can't shop.

That is all.

May I vent? (living with a reasonably Chowish person who isn't quite a Chowhound..)

Is this advice for a married couple of decades, or trying to get a kid to eat his veggies?

This entire thread is like a bad flashback to Donna Reed.

The clueless husband that can't shop? Wife at home cooking?

TG I'm gay and my husband and I can both shop and cook without all the added stress.

Ina Garten/Barefoot Contessa Drinking Game

Not me, I'll take a dinner with Rob Marshall anytime- as well as with many of her accomplished friends.

Haven't seen the male model TR in a bit, but him too.

Iceberg wedge, that's hardly even making anything- I'm sure he can manage that.

I am pretty surprised at this, considering they dated for years before they even got married.

Too bad because they seemed like a well-suited couple.

L.A. Dish of the Month, December 2014 -- TAMALES

+1, after posting here I started asking around and found a friend whose cousin sells them for only $1.25. So tasty.

Tonight I'm trying a Guatemalan tamale for the first time- they are wrapped in banana leaves and came from another friend.

Reading some of these replies, you should be happy that your husband is even cooking.

Veranda at Dinner - a mixed experience, even at half off.

Re: Giada, it wasn't one critique- multiple times, even a mention of her in this review. That's bordering on scary.

There are too many examples of posts to list, so let's just say I prefer reading here from people who have 1) eaten at a restaurant and 2) have paid for their meal 3) realize their opinion is not fact.

Happy Holidays!

It's the dismissive attitude (even when you haven't tried a restaurant), not the blog.

You offer much information, but many times it is imparted in such a way that comes off as almost rude.

To be honest, I have most likely been eating in Las Vegas since before you were born- so I don't need to be talked to like a 5 year old.

And I'm talking about general replies, not those just towards me personally.

What do you not order in restaurants...

Things that are crazy-easy like mac and cheese, meatloaf, deviled eggs.

I do order fried chicken out, only because the recipe I like calls for 2 days of prep and I hate cleaning up the mess afterwards.

Edited to add, I really envy my friends that did a pizza oven and deep fryer in their outdoor kitchen.
