top dive bars in new orleans
Due to my recent trip to nola I must add Chucks Sports Bar on Gravier near magazine close to harrahs casino. Great dive Im not sure about the sports bar thing since they do have one tv lol. Great patina cheap two dollar miller high lifes and some cool laid back people. check this one out. Oh by the way JOHNNY WHITES hole in the wall on bourbon closes forever June 30th the sad end to another all time dive bar. rip.

Dons Seafood restaurant downtown lafayette is a pretty good classic old school cajun restaurant I recommend it.
New Orleans in August (seeking advice)
Your restaurant selections are pretty good, As far as the humidity and heat I am a Houston native 90 percent humidity etc... but New Orleans is heat and humidity on steroids. I would love to see yalls faces when you get off the plane and experience it that would be amusing. as far as the streetcar st. charles no ac dont let that stop you its bearable the canal street line to parkway bakery is air conditioned. you picked a good time to visit believe it or not august is my favorite time of year for new orleans less crowded.

The great New Orleans vibe and pretty good steaks at Crescent city on broad has always been a favorite of mine
Las Vegas 4 Nights.
Had the brunch at the Wynn last sunday and thought it was worth every dime very good. Of course not every dish was exceptional avoid the cold boiled shrimp tasteless from asia Im almost sure but I give them credit for trying. But most food stuffs were of exceptional quality and the variety was really something else. Also set in a beautiful setting.
The Vegas hidden gem of a restaurant
The brewpub at the main street station casino called the triple seven brewpub I believe. Fantastic!! Inexpensive food great beer and the room is absolutely beautiful if you havent been I strongly suggest going to this place well done Main street station.

I have had it enchiladas with the deep great chili gravy with raw chopped white onions are almost impossible to find in Texas now. What the hell is going on? Pats Place a non mexican restaurant that serves one mexican item enchiladas has it and its in new braunfels how strange is that. I want answers and I want them now where can I find this in Texas? If you ask a waitress for chopped onions they look at you like your crazy. Whats happened to enchiladas in our great state?

have to laugh about your opinion on salt lick its right on the money. nothing to write home about back in the 70s yeah Im an old guy, it was very good. The old cowboy the father of the current owner would just sit down sometimes at my table along with his wife and just talk about anything. He would be shocked what it has become today, standing room only medicore food no thanks.

Kukubura your going through a normal pre trip restaurant sensory overload nervous breakdown I suffer the same fate every trip. You look like you have an outstanding selection of restaurants bravo.
REDFISH GRILL
The BBQ oysters are one of the best tastes in new orleans at the redfish highly recommended and the sweet potato catfish if its still on the menu.

The Royal House oyster restaurant a total ripoff on the chargrilled oysters I had there two weeks ago never again. tiny tiny almost non existent oysters I felt cheated.
6 old ladies doing New Orleans
The Carousel bar in the monteleone hotel on royal is a must. Liuzzas in mid city on north telemachus also the crescent city steak house on broad.are very new orleans and funky. Try out Snake and Jakes Christmas club lounge on oakstreet get there about four in the morning and drink pabst or schlitz till the sun shines. That ought to be a good start.
