Best Coconut Cream Pie
I just posted looking for opinions on the best red velvet cake in the City, and I figure why not go for broke and also see if I can find out about favorite spots in NYC for coconut cream pie.
Again, I'm looking to bring my father some sweets this 4th of July and he constantly craves coconut cream pie and red velvet cake (the man loves his sugar).
I had some leads on the red velvet cake but I'm truly at a loss when it comes to coconut cream pie - any sage like guidance is appreciated and my old man's stomach thanks you in advance!

Best Red Velvet Cake in NYC
I'm looking to get the best red velvet cake I can as a treat for my father this July 4th weekend. Unfortunately I don't have time for a proper round the 5-borough tasting and I have to rely on word of mouth expertise. I've been told about various favorites - from the ubiquitous Cake Man Raven to 2 Little Red Hens in the UES, and some lesser known spots like Sugar Sweet Sunshine in the East Village.
Really want to bring back the best for dear old dad...any wisdom is appreciated.
