Bacon Jam
they make an AMAZING bacon jam that goes with the "bacon and eggs" dessert (creme brulee) at the Niagara Street Cafe....not like a rillette at all.....and of course likely not for sale ....but so worth checking out...
Indian fusion
Just had dinner at Amaya last night (Baview south of Eg) and both the food and the service were wonderful. I highly reccomend it.
good macarons, seriously.
hands down, la bamboche has the best macarons in toronto......the lavender, the matcha, sea salt caramel, yuzu....all consistently lovely and flawless.....i definitely prefer them to anywhere else i have tried in the city. i'm definitely not a huge yonge & egg fan, but i'll go out of my way for these for sure!
One Market Review - Better than they say.
although i found the service from our waiter and the sommelier a bit on the annoyingly stuffy side, one market was well worth the visit.... i had the roasted liberty farms duck breast with duckleg confit, turnip, vanilla & huckleberry sauce.....absolutely wonderful and enjoyed each and every morsel of it....quite incredible. i would definitely go again!
toronto noodle adventure - suggestions wanted
