Not sure about the entree, but my go-to hors d'oeuvre is pancetta-wrapped shrimp with fresh sage and garlic. Salty, bacon-y goodness!
My favorite comfort food:
You mean I'm supposed to pick ONE? Not happening. Tamal en cazuela is high on the list, as are arroz con pollo and paella... and of course a media noche. Follow any of those up with a shot of espresso (LOTS of sugar) and either flan or tres leches. Tastes like home to me.
