Need Suggestions for Upscale Luncheon May College Graduation Baltimore

Hi FreshFoodGuy,
Thanks for the suggestion on the Northstar Bistro. I have not been there but I did check out the Black Olive menu which seems diverse enough for this event. I will check out this
venue to see if it's workable for our circumstance. Appreciate the referral

Thanks for the steak house suggestion and we will look into it. Your idea to stay close to the arena is probably prudent if we can make it work. No Orioles games that particular weekend so the traffic should be lighter than usual in that general locale. You're right about some restaurants being more flexible with price or throwing in a few extras to draw in patrons during the economic downturn.
Appreciate your insights!

Thanks for you reply Bordeauxfan. We have looked into Charleston but they won't bite.
We did consider Cinghiale but their chef will only prepare a single entree item - i.e. chicken dish and same for Petite Louis Bistro - (farther afield) I'd have no issue if it was my own party but this group will have a cross section of tastes and I can't limit to a single entree item - I asked for a choice of providing 3 entrees but their concern is for consistency and quality (which I get) will only let them tp offer a single entree offering. A buffet is not a must do but having choices of entrees is really necessary to satisfy all palates. I also looked into the Waterfront Marriott and they have provided menus and will do a buffet. I just don't know if $60-$70 a head will be a crowd pleaser (w/o cocktail), Graduation is at First Mariner Arena and that's why we figured downtown or somplace "in the city" might be a good. Anything else you could suggest? I have not eaten at Waterfront - do you have an opinion?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi
Does anyone have a recommendation for an upscale restaurant that can acccomodate 75 - 100 for a buffet luncheon in downtown Baltimore? This is a for group of college graduates and their families on a Saturday afternoon in May. The ceremony is downtown so we thought it would be easier to stay in that locale - but we are open to suggestions. Need the usual wish list - great food. great ambience - respectable pricing. Inner Harbor would be nice but may not be cost effective.
Thanks for any suggestions... Our large size crowd is making this a challenge...
