Restaurants Near The Altman Building My friend and I are going to a wine event on a Friday night at The Altman Building - have never been. We are looking for a place to eat after around 9:00. The places I am thinking of are: Cafeteria, La Bottega or Viceroy. Nothing too fancy - we even enjoy eating at the bar. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. We are staying in Times Square but don't want to eat there. Thank you! ----- |

Non Touristy Restaurant - Times Square Area Thanks for replying. We are staying at the Renaissance - 714 Seventh Avenue at W. 48th Street. Something walking distance 20 - 25 minutes top. Dining somewhere around 8:00 - 8:30. We like semi-casual places - not stuffy or pretentious - a place that locals would go. Most we are willing to spend would be around $60 - $80 each. We tend to order lots of appetizers or smaller plates. We do like good wine. We are not big red meat eaters. Love seafood, chicken or Italian. We are from CT so not too far away. Saturday night we are staying in SoHo and think we are going to Barmarche - any thoughts in that area? ----- |
