Fried Chicken - Twin Cities

No prob. That's some damn good chicken!

Fried Chicken - Twin Cities

The Brass Rail has probably THE best fried, broasted whatever chicken I've ever had including homemade. I'm assuming I happened upon this place because Hwy. 10 was under construction or something as I never take this route up north.

Fried Chicken - Twin Cities

I will second the Brass Rail rec in Grandy. I stopped there on the way up north, got the chicken to go and ate it at a nearby park. Very, very good.

Chicken in white sauce....mmmmmmm.

Ground Hatch Chile?

Thanks for the ideas. I (the wife) made some green chicken chili a few nights ago that was delicious. The green powder is marked hot and the red extra hot. Her grandma sent it to me from New Mex...

Ground Hatch Chile?

I have a two pound bag of ground red hatch chile and a two pound bag of ground green hatch chile. Any ideas on what to do with all this ground chile?

Leftover Smoked Brisket

I usually have brisket hash and eggs for breakfast after smoking it overnight. Brisket is good by itself or with anything. Loaded, baked spuds, tacos, nachos, pintos, enchiladas.....I need some brisket! Has anyone tried soaking corned beef brisket in water for a few days in the fridge changing the water every so often and then smoking it?

Good place to shop for groceries near Cocoa Beach?

Good place to shop for groceries near Cocoa Beach?

Thanks for your help. I have heard of Publix before, but we don't have them up here in MN. I'm thinking it's similar to Cub or Rainbow....

Good place to shop for groceries near Cocoa Beach?

I'll probably eat out once or twice so might as well throw that in there if anyone has any recs for good restaurants in the area.

Good place to shop for groceries near Cocoa Beach?

Hello fellow 'Hounds. Never been to Florida except for Pensacola once when I was a kid and will be bringing the kids to Disney and renting a house near Cocoa Beach. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good spot to buy meat, seafood and groceries in the area?

What's your fix when the Heat Index tops 95 degrees?

Where can I get some of that iced coffee?

ISO great hot dog place - MSP

The jerk brat from Kramarczuk's is delicious!

Walkerswood jerk?

Nevermind. Called Coastal to double check and they still have it! I asked about being told they wouldn't be carrying it anymore and they said they were told Walkerswood was going out of business, but they didn't!

Walkerswood jerk?

Anyone know where to get this seasoning? I know Coastal Seafoods used to carry it, but last time I went there looking for it they told me they wouldn't be carrying it anymore. I bought some Busha Browns instead and it wasn't spicy enough. Cub Foods carries Boston Jerk Co. jerk seasoning and it is only OK.

Leo's Burritos?

Was thinking of walking over to Leo's for lunch today, but Bun Mi was closer so Bun Mi special it was.

Leo's Burritos?

Yeah, almost every time I go to the BK drive thru someone is sitting in their car blocking the drive thru.

Leo's Burritos?

Anyone been? It's located next to the Caribou in Stadium Village.

Los Ocampos, Amazing.

I need to try something different next time I'm at Los Ocampo. I've been stuck on the huarachazo.

Los Ocampos, Amazing.

The Torta Poblana I had was at Pineda and I couldn't imagine it being very healthy, but it's a thin slice of steak (not sure what cut) breaded and fried kind of like country fried and a poblano stuffed with queso fresco or some other white mexican cheese also breaded and fried. It's topped with tomatoes, avacado, lettuce IIRC, onion and crema I believe. Not something you'd want to eat everyday or even week, but very good nonetheless.

Los Ocampos, Amazing.

Try the Torta Poblana.

I want to eat a whole fish

Recommend me a cleaver

I turned my back for a minute or two and my puppy ate half a rack of raw spare ribs that sat in the fridge too long and had a not so pleasant smell to them. I was worried the bones would tear her insides up on the way out, but she's fine. I'm glad I didn't make her drink peroxide like the vet suggested or it might have caused a problem when she vomited them up.

Tamale Making Items...

Rainbow on E Lake does have a good Lation section, but the Cub across the street has an even better one. I'm pretty sure I've seen corn husks there as well as masa, mexican cheeses of many different varieties and lots of different kinds of dried chiles.

New Buffet opening in the Hilake shopping center in Mpls.

It's called Teppenyaki Buffet I believe and that's all I know.
