I have been eating here for 50 years (since I was in a high chair!)
Egg rolls to die for.

Egg Fu Young (the best anywhere!)
Shrimp in lobster sauce
Chicken Chow Mein
Sweet and Sour Chicken
Beef with Pea Pods

Very consistent.
Take-out recommended, place feels it has not been redecorated in 50 years.

In the north suburbs, I have seen groups of women who come in for lunch and then spend a few hours playing cards and MahJong.
Can anyone report which restaurants they know welcome these activities?

I am so mourning Kaufman's misfortune (and all of ours who are in their proximity.) I never took them for granted. I go by there all the time and see no sign of movement or progress from the outside at least.

No one, I mean no one, made a hot corned beef like Kaufman's.

Although I would love to hear current suggestions for my search.

I love the green beans served at Lulu's and have been trying to recreate at home.
I was hoping someone else would share my passion for them and share a recipe

They say garlic, ginger and oyster sauce, and I try that but something is not the same.

I am always looking for the best tuna salad sandwich, but there are some parameters:
Just tuna and dressing, nothing crunchy or added.
The sandwich is to be on white toast with nothing else on it.
I suppose it reminds me of my childhood.
I am always trying tuna in places and am invariably disappointed.

Any suggestions?
