Rosinni's in Murray Hill hands-down THE BEST. Everytime I visit I go here, more than once a trip. The food is consistently delicious. The ambience is like walking into a time machine, total old school. It's truly a gem, MaryAnn is usually behind the bar, and her brother works the front. Family owned for decades. Dining at the bar is a true experience

Thanks for the suggestions. It's a party of about 20, not all are foodies and tend to eat HUGE amounts. They are of the quantity not quality mindset. I realize that none of these are inexpemsive, I just can't justify spending more than this league. The BYOB option may be the answer, thanks so much!!
I did read on El Cid, was there about 15 years ago. It sounds terrible!

That's funny, I didn't realize it was so big. When I stay in Manhattan, location is a non-issue, same here in Boston. We are staying off of N Lakeshore an E superior. No car, no budget.

Want to experience some not-so-touristy wineries, nice accommodations, and great food. Should I fly into LA and travel Central Coast wineries or fly into SF and head up to Napa/Sonoma?
Always wanted to see Santa Barbara and also just discovered the Justin Winery is located centrally.

I am looking for a fantastic Italian restaurant in the Boston proper area. There are so many in the North End, but often I never find one that is excellent.
I enjoy Davios and Teatro, but that's all I have for options.
