Has anyone found this in the Twin Cities? I know I can order online but the shipping is almost as much as the tiny tube itself. |

Looking for Duck Fat in Madison or Milwaukee, WI Thanks for your leads! I followed up on them and found great sources of duck in various forms but fat only in those little 7oz packs for $8-$9 each. However, I called Harvest ( a local gourmet restaurant) and they suggested Neesvigs (a purveyor based in Windsor). Neesvigs will sell me a 3.5 lb tub for $18. That's about 2 quarts. Now that's a bargain! Ask for Bob. :-) |

Looking for Duck Fat in Madison or Milwaukee, WI I would like to make Duck Confit for an upcoming dinner party and need duck fat. Whole Foods sells little shelf-stable packs of a few ounces but I'll go broke using that stuff. Does anyone know of a source of fresh/frozen duck fat in either Madison or Milwaukee (or in between)? I think a quart would do me. Thanks! |
