Le petit Milos
Looks like a swishy wine bar. The sign outside reads "CAVA" and the paper is off the doors. I peeked in last evening, lots of dark wood on the interior. Wine bottles run floor-to-ceiling behind the bar on the left, with an impressive number of wine glasses hooked on wire racks overhead.
Appears to be ready for business.
Bitoque, St.Henri
Haven't been to Bitoque since it reopened as a BYOB last autumn, but I work in the area and your report positive report confirms what I've heard from colleagues and friends who live in the 'hood.
Still surprised that Bitoque's neighbour never appears in discussions of St-Henri and Sud-Ouest restos: le Sans Menu. Market-fresh bistro fare, with interest for anyone who likes les abats. Retro decor borders on the absurd, but it's irony-free. Short, accessible wine list. Mains in the 18$-$25 range. Above all, unpretentious, with expert service. [3714, rue Notre-Dame O, 514.933.4782. Farmers market near St Donat?
There are Saturday markets nearby at Val-David and in Mont-Tremblant Village. The market at St-Jérôme, though a considerable distance from St-Donat, is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Follow the link for more info.

Look out also for road-side farmers' stands along route 117 and other local highways.
why montreal has no mobile food
Bookmarked this some time ago. It offers more detail, if that's what you're after. http://www.montrealfood.com/jan2002.html
Considering that until Drapeau newsstands were plentiful in Montreal – I remember the one at Pine/St-Laurent – it's unlikely food hygiene was the original issue. Now, it's just the standard excuse.
For years now vendors of inedible goods have been allowed to set up in the street, provided they buy a permit. (By my thinking Spider-Man is still an outlaw.)
Pink Salt aka Saltpeter needed
You could try asking your butcher, or any butcher who cures meats. You want Prague Powder - sodium nitrite pre-mixed with salt. Specifically, you want Prague Powder #1; Prague Powder #2 additionally contains sodium nitrate, useful for long-term dry cures.
I haven't found a local source for this but you can buy it from Stuffers.com - located in B.C.

comptoir à vin « bouchonné »
On a recent visit (two Fridays ago) our waiter claimed the location on Fairmount would remain open, too, but with a limited menu and wine list. Not sure how (if?) that will fly but this closet-sized spot has always felt like another great feature of Bouchonné. (Though, possibly not so great for margins...)
Malaysian Restaurant in Montreal?
Cash & Cari sometimes offers a Malaysian dish or two, but I'd call first to check. Sadly, the Mee Goreng wasn't happening upon last visit in March.
