First vist to Orlando, would like a bit of advice from the locals.

Johnny's Hideaway near downtown Disney is pretty good for that, its pretty hard to find a good place closer...

if you like indian food, i'd recommend checking out Sizler, (note, one z not two z's) on I-drive just north of Sand Lake Road. amazing indian food for pretty decent prices. i was the only non-indian and non-british in the whole building.

Lunch at 4 Rivers Smokehouse or Hawkers Asian StreetFare tomorrow?

i ilke hawkers curry duck noodles try them next time!

Orlando - Best Mexican Restaurant

i need to visit soon!! congrats Lou on having your review posted up!! its on their website too!

Orlando area top 10 - February 2012

Lou has some awesome choices!

For Vietnamese, I would head to Pho Vinh in the same area mentioned above. I would start with their spring rolls (egg rolls) - they are the best in the area, the pho as mentioned by Lou, or the bun (rice vermicelli bowl) with various grilled meats etc, or the rice platters (with same grilled pork or beef etc). just get whatever says dac biet meaning special or combo haha

If you are near I-Drive, for lunch, check out Hanamizuki and get their shio butter ramen, and a half order of fried rice. more than enough to fill you up and oh so good.

On Sand Lake Road just west of I-Drive there is a little Indian place called Saffron that is really good as well, they have some decent lunch specials. Dim Sum, on I-drive there is Trey Yuen that has pretty decent dim sum last time I tried a few months ago. The building is old and ornate but its good there. Funny that you mentioned Toa Toa cause I have a video of a recent visit to them here http://youtu.be/gO3W-37TyTU

For Malaysian food check out Hawkers as mentioned above, they have some pretty decent malaysian style curry noodle soups.

For sushi, i'd check out Shin near downtown, Mikado on John Young (an exit or two away from I-drive), or Nagoya on Sand Lake. very fresh

Good luck and let us know how your trip goes!!
Sincerely,

Ricky L

Lunch at 4 Rivers Smokehouse or Hawkers Asian StreetFare tomorrow?

yeaaaaaaa buddy if you get a chance to go to the Ravenous Pig, I recommend their Pub Burger, made with bleu cheese, caramelized onions and angus beef with a side of truffle fries.

Good Eats near Stanhome Way, Orlando

College Park is literally five minutes away from Stanhome way

Food at Disney

Just came back from Magic Kingdom today, and must agree...but...

If you go to Sleepy Hollow (quick counter service) in Liberty Square, they do have some amazing new waffle sandwiches: sweet and spicy chicken waffle, nutella and fresh fruit, and a ham and proscuitto tomato cheese waffle. Tried all of them with some friends...surprisingly good lunch
