***CALLING ALL PROTEIN SHAKE EXPERTS I'm growing a little frustrated from having to pay close to $9/day for my protein shake. There is an extra cost when I ask for the better quality protein and for the vitamins and minerals as well as the other healthy additions on the menu that I can't pronounce. Can the protein shake experts help me with: 1- What protein do you use, except soy, it doesn't agree with me :( |

Toque!: Tasting Menu or A La Carte? Because you mention many "pro's" for Europea, it sounds like you may have made your decision...Your pro's can be someone else's con's since this is all a matter of preference, right..? There is no right or wrong really, and the best choice is often the one you make. A romantic setting, the price and the number of courses matter to you as you pointed them out, and for others the opposite is what they could be looking for. And so why concern yourself with a restaurant another would choose when you aren't looking for the same thing? In the end, both would be experiences to enjoy, and as you mention wanting the experience "to count" for you, I am sure you won't regret one or the other. And so, Europea now and Toque next year:) ----- |

I've had the most delicious ice cream this evening...........Funny thing is, I was not expecting anything special, and now I can't get my mind off it. I've had all sorts of ice cream, in various parts of the world, but this was truly delicious and unlike any other I have had before. It appeared to have been home-made, but apart from it's perfect texture, the taste was soooooo incredibly good. ! First, that scoop of pistachio with teeny weeny little balls of chocolate covered nuts (to die for), and then that other scoop of mocha....I found myself closing my eyes, just so I can enjoy it better ! Where did you have your best ice cream, and if you don't mind sharing your favorite ice cream toppings, it would be nice to hear as well :) |

When I started meditating 14 years ago, I understood that my body was best suited to make all my food choices. I learned through great teachers how to listen, and then realized that all the "plans" or goals, or mind creations could not ever work on me again. It was very difficult, but I have been healthier since. I think that anything developed solely by my mind, would contradict my body's wisdom and undermine its ability to nourish itself in the best way possible. Our bodies are brilliant:) If we would listen very very closely, they would provide the best plan ever :) |

Toque!: Tasting Menu or A La Carte? I couldn't agree more, and although it was indeed pricey, it was simply divine, from the foie gras all the way to the decadent dessert... We went a la carte I believe, with a bottle of wine we were both very impressed with, and if my memory's right, it cost roughly 400? |

Breakfast that knocks your socks off Oh TH, sounds simply divine. I may want to visit that diner ! |

Are condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, aioli, etc.) necessary for burgers? I like a big blob of ketchup right in the middle on mine, with small pieces of homemade pickled eggplants on top. That's probably because I don't eat bread, and staring at a piece of meat with nothing on it, makes me sad. |
Will do, gilintx and thank you for the help. I did pick a real heavy one once, and it was sort of stringy inside, not firm (sob) But I will certainly follow your other suggestion about the spot to look for, and the tap Merci! |

Ok Adam, shhhhh, :) |

Oh, I love the last line, guilty " Not dark cereal. Though that can be good too ." |

Does anyone else get a craving for sushi when you visit the aquarium? I love sushi chocojosh, and so it is on my mind a lot as well. but I don't think it has happened after visiting an aquarium. You are probably right though, it could very well be the smell:) |
Wow Black, that sounds incredibly good. Yum |

Wanted: Outstanding chicken breasts! Sushi thanks.... Would you mind sharing exactly how you brine yours. I only make a breast at a time when I'm alone..and I may have added too much salt last time. How long do you brine them for? |
Hilarious - = ) |

Squishing potato chips in your sandwich...anyone else do this? I wouldn't do this unless you paid me, unless of course you paid me dearly :) |
Tipping before or after added tax? I couldn't agree more. I always tip on the whole amount, because when you stop and think of it, the value of the meal includes taxes.. it's just part of doing business for the restaurant. And so if the restaurant has to pay for the ingredients to make the meal, which are included in the meal price along with mark-up, and also has to pay the taxes, then the TOTAL value is the TOTAL bill. Why split hairs, unless you're cheap and make a living out of it. |

This may sound too simple, but I would have ricotta on pumpernickel bread before school...spread jam over it, and finally top it with fresh raspberries. It looked like a pastry but was very healthy and filling. |
Why do so many people hate Gin? Because the last time I had some, (ok I had too much) I ended up in the men's bathroom. |

Wanted: Outstanding chicken breasts! I omitted the word "people" before the word "judge".....no wonder you could not understand the sentence. Thanks for pointing that out lingua. |
