Definitely Bar Boulud!!! They have the best charcuterie in the city, great wine list and an amazing menu.

Looks cool, right? I spoke with the manager yesterday who informed me that if my crowd was the "meat packing" type, then it probably wouldn't be the right venue for me. I assured him that because I work in meat-packing, I refuse to hang out around here because I see all the shit that is put on these streets (it's so gross!). Thanks for your suggestions SH

Try Il Bastrado. I had my sister's bridal shower there. The food was great, the alcohol was awesome and we had the whole back room.

Dinner at Dovetail - what to order?
I went to Dovetail last Thursday. It was excellent! I wouldn't recommend the foie gras app, but would definitely recommend the venison or the steak on the tasting menu. Both desserts (bread pudding and hazelnut something) were very disappointing. Skip the dessert and go somewhere else. Other than the dessert, the whole meal was solid.

Salumeria Biellese on 29th and 8th has an amazing selection. They actually produce all natural, no preservatives, 100% berkshire charcuterie. They sell wholesale to most restaurants in the city, but I'm sure you could snag a piece.
