I don't see a favorites section. Seems like finding saved recipes should be pretty high up in this site's action hierarchy. It really shouldn't be this hard to find them.

Bull-Market Burger

Good grief. Lighten up, people. It's just a recreation of a burger recipe that's likely recieved more media coverage than any other. That's it. Try it, or don't. What's with the vitriol? It's a freaking recipe.

Fresh Pappardelle with Butternut Squash and Thyme Cream Sauce

If the amaretti cookies give you pause, toasted bread crumbs or finely chopped toasted walnuts would work. I often garnish my pasta dishes in this way. It gives a nice textural boost.

Zucchini Carpaccio with Feta and Pine Nuts

Miss Habibi,
"Carpaccio" has come to refer to the preparation itself, rather than just the italian raw meat dish most people are familiar with. That is to say, the treatment of laying paper-thin slices of anything flat across a platter and sprinkling yummy things over the top.

The Lady Will Have the Prawns

Somehow, when one considers the range of possible bad date-related behaviors, a guy making a (arguably) misguided attempt at chivalry is way down low on my offense scale. Or maybe I've just had one too many handsy dates.

And really, this lady absolutely *can* open her own door, or flag her own cab, or carry her own television set up five flights of stairs, but it is nice to have a manfriend show that he cares by offering assistance. I don't expect any of these things, but I admit (scandal!!), I don't hate it when it happens.

Mediterranean Braised Chard

This was super! I used half regular and half red swiss chard and it made a gorgeous plate. Next I'm going to try it as a filling for a white lasagna. How could that not be wonderful?

KFC Totally Didn't Mean to Be Racist

"He’s annoyed by the noise, deeming it an “awkward” situation."

Uhm, no.

The awkward situation intended by the ad is the fan of the Australian soccer team being seated in the West African fan area, as the two teams are rivals. In American terms, similar to a Yankees fan being seated in the Red Sox section. The intent was clear in Australia, where the ad aired during soccer season.

The hullabaloo started in the US where it was viewed on YouTube, devoid of both cultural and sporting context.

All Hail the iPhone-Cheese Cyborg

Pepper jack is the perfect accompaniment for a iSanta-clad-bikini-model. Ubiquitous, yet unrefined.
