4th Street in Downtown may be the best bet for you. Burt's Tiki Lounge is fun and usually very relaxed on week nights. There are a fe microbreweries in the area that should fulfill your green chile gastropub requirements :)
Best Green Chile Cheeseburger
I would suggest Santiago's New Mexican Grill on Eubank. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, but they are friendly and have the best green chile burgers in New Mexico (in my opinion).

Thank you for the correct information! I agree with all of your comments. Have you guys every heard of Santiago's New Mexican Grill on Eubank in Albuquerque? They are new (within the last 5 years) and are by far my favorite green chile cheese burger in NM!

As a New Mexican, I can't help but disagree with Bobcat Bite. I tried it last Thanksgiving and it just doesn't measure up to either Santiago's (Albuquerque, NM) or the original Owl Cafe (San Antonio, NM). My family has tried them all and Santiago's is our undisputed favorite. Owl Cafe comes in second ... and Bobcat Bite is not in the top 10. I'd like to see these on more top 10 lists (at the top!).
