need a place for a graduation dinner
You are so right - it is all about the people. The last celebration was for her 21st birthday, with just my two kids, and Locke Ober was lovely - very old Boston. This will be a slightly bigger group (probably between 6 and 10 people). I want to keep it fun. She loves theme restaurants. Expensive is fine, but not necessary.
Thanks so much for your response - let me know if you have any other ideas.
need a place for a graduation dinner
I need to find a great place to celebrate my daughters college graduation with a group of maybe 6 or 7 people. Don't mind if it's pricey, but I'd love a place that was either just fantastic, or maybe are great at making someone feel special at their celebration. Any suggestions? We'll either be staying in Boston, or just south.
North Shore Restuarants?
My 16 year old son and I have just moved to the area, and I'm looking for some nice places to eat. We're in Danvers at the moment, soon to move somewhere between Beverly and Rockport. I need places that my son would enjoy, and maybe somewhere nice to go with friends who come into town. Also maybe somewhere I could go on my own. Any suggestions??
ps
I'm trying Hardcover tonight - it's next to my hotel! Also love sushi.

Thanks so much to all of you for your thoughtful replies. We ended up going to Lock-obers, and had a great time. The food was fine, and the ambiance wonderful.
thank you all
daughter's 21st birthday
Thanks so much for your advise. We had a great time at Lock-Obers - loved the baked alask! And the ambiance is warm old world Boston at it's best. Thanks again
daughter's 21st birthday
Thanks so much for your reply! I wanted to try Lock-obers, remembering it from when I was a kid and my parents used to go there on special occasions. Then I remembered that she doesn't really like seafood. She does love lobster though - so Lock-obers might be ok. She likes to dress up, so fancy is fine. Other than that she's pretty easy to please. I just want to go somewhere where she'll feel really special. She's had a tough few years.
thank you so much!

daughter's 21st birthday
I need somewhere really special to take my daughter, and 16 year old son to celebrate her 21st birthday. Price is no issue. I just want her to feel pampered, and great. We'll be staying in boston, probably by the common. We could walk, or take a taxi.
thanks so much!
