Dim Sum - Catering in Mimico area?

Hello,

I was hoping that people could direct me to a good dim sum restaurant in the west end that will cater will deliver or have a pick up option in the west end of Toronto, around the Mimico area.

I am trying to organize a bridal shower from Montreal and it has been awhile since I left Toronto. I have no idea where the dim sum places are anymore.

Much thanks in advance!

Olympic krema yogurt

PA on Fort has it on sale right now for 99 cents. It's thick, rich and delicious.

Moving to Montreal

I looked up the postal code and technically I'm in Westmount, but it looks like my food world has expanded a bit!

Moving to Montreal

Thanks so much for all the suggestions! I'm living near St. Henri station, if that's any help with the exact location. Looks like I need to stock up on key ingredients before I make the big move this week.

Moving to Montreal

Hello,

I'm moving to Montreal (Westmount to be specific) and for me, nothing gets me feeling more at home than finding out where the best food sources are. Any help identifying any of the following would be great! I'll be taking transit everywhere, so anything that is transit accessible would be helpful!

1. Korean grocery store (Especially anything along the lines of Galleria in Toronto)
2. Farmer's market
3. Coffee/tea shops in Westmount (Especially if they have wi-fi)
4. Bakery (Any type of bakery really, be it Greek or Arabic)
5. Butcher
6. Cheese shop
7. Brunch
8. Noodles (Similar to Kenzo Ramen would be nice)
9. Pizza
10. Any Montreal food shop that shouldn't be missed

Thank you in advance!

Vancouver and Victoria Recs

Thanks for all the lovely recommendations. Guu moved to Toronto and I will agree it is very, very good. Enough to line up for 20 minutes to grab a table.

Vancouver and Victoria Recs

Hello everyone,

I'm visiting Victoria and Vancouver for the first time and am wondering a) what are the cities specialize in/unique foods and b) where to find the best examples of the former.

I am from Toronto and I imagine that seafood is much better than what a landlocked city can get and I hear rumors that the Hong Kong cuisine in BC can give Toronto a run for its money (Which always starts debates).

I'm also on a personal hunt for the best coffee and micro beers the different cities have to offer, especially for beer that the LCBO or the Beer Store does not stock.

Price wise, I'm hoping for a wide range of prices, and no more than $40 without taxes and tip for the main entree. Hole in the wall, fine dining, it's all fair game. The only diet restriction is no pork, but I'm willing to deal with the health consequences if it's really, really good pork.

I don't drive, so anything near public transit is great.

Any recommendations are appreciated!

Toronto East End Farmer's Markets?

There's a market at Fairview Mall (Don Mills and Sheppard) in the parking lot across from the Don Mills drop off on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Farmer's booth on Birchmount Road, Agincourt

The booth hasn't been operational in a long time. I think the land has been sold to a developer.

Good Food Box or CSA in Hamilton/Dundas Area

I recently moved out to Hamilton for graduate school and am having trouble finding a program similar to the Good Food Box program (http://www.foodshare.net/goodfoodbox0...) or a CSA to join. I'm hoping that someone can recommend a food share program in Hamilton or in the Dundas area.

Thanks!
