They like the abuse just a new worm every now and then. I love using my in-laws imitation as it is my work out for the day.

Salmon Creek
This is undrinkable to those in the know. Those not in the known will taste nothing and think it is good.
It is a huge money maker for restaurants. About a 10 to 15 time markup.
2007 wine to lay down
Best bet as stated earlier would be CDPs.
I would buy six great German Rieslings at an Auslese level as they are much cheaper then a high end CDP.
Go with Loosen, Prum, Donnhoff or Fritz Haag.
MSP - Small Meeting/Banquet Restaurant
Palomino has free parking and a nice private room for events. I don't know what their food and beverage min. is for an event.
A Challenge to Amateur Sommeliers
For sure include the Columbia Crest Grand Estates Merlot. It is one of the better wines under $20 and even the snobs will drink it as it is made in the same way the $50 Cali wines are produced.
Another solid red is the Fontanafredda Barbera from Piedmont. Good fruit that will please those who hate tannic wines.
A nice everyday Pinot that is light is the 2007 A to Z Pinot.
One thing you have to remember is that most people are not serious wine drinkers and if it is good and light most will like it. The Columbia Crest will be too tannic for many.
MSP - Fugaise Closing
It was good overall but I dined there about two months ago on a Thursday night and there was no one in the place.
I am sure he will land somewhere soon.
MSP - Cooking Classes
Mother Sauce is a great venue as stated earlier for cooking first.
Gruet Sparkling Wine From New Mexico
Gloria Ferrer also makes a good Sparkling Wine around the $15 price point.
I stand firm that the best sparkling wine in America is Argyle.
Wine Recs on a cruise?
Columbia Crest Washington $7.25
This is my far the best choice. I am not a fan of US Merlot but for the price points you can't get better then Columbia Crest.
I like their Reserve Line better then Pride and Paloma.

If you go to Woodinville Betz is a must stop. Call ahead to see if the tasting room is available.
