Anniversary Dinner tomorrow (Tuesday) night in Brooklyn - No Reservations Yet!

Mainly because of annoying 1 year old/babysitter induced time limits, but if it was in close proximity to an F train manhattan might be doable.

Any ideas on wait times at Vinegar Hill on a Tuesday?

Anniversary Dinner tomorrow (Tuesday) night in Brooklyn - No Reservations Yet!

I do like Applewood, Ici (although less-so), and Palo Santo, but have been to all of them almost too many times at this point (you know the feeling of just knowing exactly what to expect?). anyway, we are young(ish) and not afraid of something loud, but really just yearning for something new.

Anniversary Dinner tomorrow (Tuesday) night in Brooklyn - No Reservations Yet!

Looking for a place to eat for our anniversary tomorrow evening, would like it to be in Brooklyn near(ish) to Park Slope to cut down on travel time, but looking to eat someplace interesting. Was considering Vinegar Hill House and Roberta's but am scared about wait times... suggestions for a last minute but really good option?

Harpers, Dobbs Ferry

This place is good! Crushes everything else in Dobbs for sure. Chicken soup for lunch is excellent and really like the burger as well. Also went for brunch with a group and everyone enjoyed it.

Driving from Tampa to NYC; Where should i sleep, where should i eat?

New York City foodie driving from the Tampa area north to NYC over a two day stretch with my pregnant wife. Looking for a good mid-point to stop for the night, hopefully with some chowhound-worthy eating establishments.

We plan to stop halfway through the first day in Savannah and have a bunch of eating spots to choose from there, but also need a place to stop that evening for the night. Based on my calculations, it seems we'll be mid way through North Carolina at that point, but i have no experience with this drive or the south in general.

Help!

Dining in Portland, ME on Labor Day Weekend... Too late to reserve a table?

so niether 555 or Fore Street had tables available at reasonable times on saturday the 30th, so i went ahead and made reservations at both of them for sunday the 31st, as i can't make up my mind... i realize that Fore Street has had a bit of a rough patch lately on these boards, and it seems 555 has overtaken it. Should i just hit up 555? Is the tasting menu at 555 really as affordable as it says on the website (55 bucks)?

I reserved a table at Evangeline for saturday, so i guess i'll get a decent sampling either way...

Dining in Portland, ME on Labor Day Weekend... Too late to reserve a table?

how do the prices compare between these places?

Dining in Portland, ME on Labor Day Weekend... Too late to reserve a table?

my fiance and i are going to be in Portland over labor day weekend. we decided to head up to Maine for the week following labor day, and were fairly surprised to find many hotels booked a month in advance. Now i'm concerned this will be the case with restaurants as well. Is it too late to get a table for labor day weekend at any of the following spots?

Fore Street
555
Evangeline
Cinque Terre

We are looking for a really good but casual dress dinner, do these places fit the bill? Not sure how fancy any of these places are; how would they compare to restaurants in NYC?

any thoughts would be appreciated.

The Best Pizza in Brooklyn

prosciutto pie at least once a week. it is better in the restaurant, but isn't all brick oven style better eat-in??

Pho. The best in NYC. Where it is. No phooling around.

No love for Pho Bang (Mott just north of Grand St.)? The basil and sprouts are always fresh, the broth tasty, and the menu is mostly pho...

Ellsworth, Me

I grew up in Ellsworth (live in NYC now) and have been to Cleonice a few times when visiting my parents. It's definitely the most "adventurous" (by local standards, of course!) restaurant the town has ever had. I just can't help but laugh, though, cause that place used to be a crappy sports bar. I remember my dad taking me there to watch World Cup games when i was 10...
