It is really delicious. They've great breakfast, too. Has anyone tried their pozole? My one complaint is their coffee, it has always been fairly weak and bland when I've gone. But with such great food and delicious fruit waters(mint and lime!), it hardly matters. If you tell a taxi driver colonia reforma, Belisario Dominguez close to it's intersection with calle Amapolas.

Yeah, I'm with LG on this one.Lynn's is not a bad place, but definitely feel that you pay (a higher price than what its worth) for the legs coming out of the walls rather than really great food.

Lavender shortbread. Put some blossoms in with the sugar you will use, bruise gently, cover, and let sit at least overnight before using. Drizzle the shortbread with dark chocolate.

Cook the potatoes and beets the day before and then while tailgating just fry the bacon and toss in the other ingredients--it'll just take one skillet. It's maybe a little more involved, but it's something different.

Or use them to make a fried green tomato BLT. Mmm.

There's a spiced cashew recipe in one of the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks. It's basically cashews, rosemary, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, and butter tossed together and roasted for a bit. Delicious with cocktails. (easy to transport too).

Where's a good spot to buy some decent wine in Oaxaca City? I'm hoping for places besides Soriana and something much better than Padre Kino, but reasonably priced 80--200 peso range.

I would skip Lynn's. My experiences have been that you pay for all the random junk on the walls and not for a quality breakfast experience. Sweet n Savory on Bardstown road has much better breakfast.

3rd Ave Cafe is a great spot--affordable, great atmosphere, and fantastic vegetarian-vegan options. Lots of soups, salads, sandwiches. It's in Old Louisville on 3rd st.

there is actually a microbrew connected to Slugger field, Browning's--great beer and food
the BBC downtown is another microbrew that has good beer and food
and in the Highlands (Bardstown Rd) there is Cumberland Brews--I haven't been for about a year, because there were times when the beer was ok and others when it was flat out bad. The food is generally very good, though.

The Mag Bar, also in Old Louisville, fun local dive--shouldn't be many college students in June-July, great jukebox.

3rd Ave Cafe is a great spot for a reasonably priced lunch--great sandwiches, soups, and salads--it is in Old Louisville, so close to downtown.
The Fish House is another excellent inexpensive option--great catfish, scrod, potato pancakes.
BBC or Cumberland Brews--a couple of micro-brews with pretty good food--pizzas, sandwiches, etc. I prefer the food at Cumberland, but the beer at BBC--depends what you're looking for.

M's Pub--also in the old market and lovely..so much old brick! It is also nice, because it is one of the few places that doesn't opperate on a very midwestern time table (of closing by 10). They actually serve their full menu until midnight.

Kopperman's in the CWE has fantastic breakfast--Idaho peppered trout and once they had a special of eggs benedict with aged beef that was incredible. There are some cool boutiques right around there too.
Arcelia's near Lafayette Square is a great spot for Mexican, reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere.
Schlafly Brewery if you are in to beer--go on the tour and enjoy plenty of free samples.
