Where to find dried gigantes beans?
Oooh perfect. Thank you!
(I don't like olives or feta. I know I know. Its so wrong of me. I've been told.)
Where to find dried gigantes beans?
Can I ask where in Providence or the market name? I have a buddy there I can force to make a trip for me.
Kumquats?
I saw them just yesterday at the Trader Joe in Coolidge Corner.

Where to find dried gigantes beans?
I would like to get a lb or two of these to try in some recipes but can't seem to find them. Anybody know a place around boston that might sell these?
Sushi Quality Fish in Quincy?
Hello,
I'm looking for anywhere in or near Quincy that sells fish that can be eaten raw. Anybody know of a place?
Where to buy good tamales?
I have had the TJ's ones. They are ok but nothing like the real home made thing.
Where to buy good tamales?
Ooh thanks. This is closer than Revere to me so I'll give it a try first.
Where to buy good tamales?
I'm not looking for a restaurant sit down meal. I love these little corn busk wrapped bundles of yummy but I am a spice wimp so I'm looking for a place I can descend on (possibly with a moving truck) and load up on a variety of not too spicy tamales to take home, freeze, and reheat gently over the winter months when I feel like having one. Anybody know of any place like this in and around boston/quincy area?
Bento supplies/boxes in town?
Thanks. I'll check that out. By gadgets I mean like the little punches that punch of faces from seaweed or the molds that cut hot dogs and things into cute shapes and pressed eggs to look like stars. Those sort of stuff.
Bento supplies/boxes in town?
Looking for a place that will sell as big as possible a variety of both the little gadgets and such to make bento boxes as well as the boxes themselves. Any ideas for me? Anywhere around MA is fine. If the selection is good I'm happy to make a trek there.
Specialty shops in Quincy?
Good to know. I pass by there all the time but I just moved to Quincy like a month ago and haven't actually been in the market yet.
Specialty shops in Quincy?
I'm looking for specifically three things. A butcher, fish monger, and then any place that will sell me some dried food grade lavender to use in cooking. The first two I'd like to be around the Quincy area and the last I will travel to wherever. Anybody help me out?
7/22/09 Radius: THIS is "one of Boston's Best"? I don't think so.
I agree that its damn pricey but having been there a few times, I think the menu is antiquated. Everything is well cooked but not interesting. HOWEVER, if you order the tasting menu, THIS is where the price tag suddenly becomes well worth it. They have different sized ones and the portions were more than big enough for me to start letting plates go back only half eaten because I wanted to save room for the rest. Delicious, interesting, and wonderful progression of dishes. Desert, I admit, is lacking...
Best Boston Burger
I vote Wild Willy's too. Without a doubt the best burgers around! I save up calories and gym hours just to trek out to Watertown (which I never have to go to otherwise) for their burgers.
Brazilian BBQ near Boston?
Any recs on some good places? I'm talking about the kind where they come around with big sticks of meat you can carve pieces from and its basically an all you can eat buffet. No $$ limit. Anything is fine so long as the food is good and the variety of meats plentiful.
In search of duck bacon
Isn't bacon like cured or smoked or something for extra flavor? Its not just raw pork strips...
In search of duck bacon
Thanks! If I can't find it at savenor's I guess I'll have to order.
In search of duck bacon
I heard of this wonder from a coworker today and would like to try some but have never seen it sold. Anybody know a place that sells it?
Any Brookline must tries?
Oooh. I love oysters. Is that just during some special happy hour?
Any Brookline must tries?
I've tried Shiki and Chef Chang's. Shiki is great. And I didn't try the peking duck so maybe I should go back for it but everything I did try at Chef Chang's was pretty meh at best and downright bad at times. Where is Vernissage?
Any Brookline must tries?
I love trying new places and since I'm around Brookline a lot, I thought it would be nice to get some restaurant recs. Anything from the dive to the bank breaker is fine by me so long as it serves something unique, good, and worth seeking out just to try. My only caveat is that I don't like spicy food much because I'm wimpy or thai in general. :)
Is Anthony's Pier 4 really that awful?
I think Durgin Park food is also very average and the place itself lacks the kind of elegant yet casual atmosphere I'd want for a rehearsal dinner. Given a choice between it and Anthony's I'd book Anthony's.
