Where to eat in Murray Hill/Gramercy?

I live in this neighborhood and love A Voce at 26th and Madison. Sit outside on the patio. Very good food and excellent, casual service. Love the pastas and the lamb porterhouse.

Late Night-Flatiron

Looking for a good, light meal tonight in the Flatiron or Gramercy area. Won't be able to eat until after 11:00PM. Any suggestions?

Just Moved To Andover Ma

My kids like Depot near the railroad tracks and King's Subs for Pizza. There is another one on Post Office St. but not don't know that one very well. We do seem to have a lot of pizza in Andover! Sal's is actually in No. Andover or Lawrence but that is not too far.

Where to go for dinner? Chelsea/Flatiron/Union Sq

Thank you! The Olana menu looks good. I don't know Standard Grill or Almond either. Aldea is on my list for next week.

Where to go for dinner? Chelsea/Flatiron/Union Sq

Hi! I need something new. It is cold so don't want to go too far (I am on 25th). Not Tabla, not 11 Madison, not Union Sq Cafe, or Gramercy, or Craft . Tried to get into Locanda Verde but booked so decided to stay in the 'hood. What do you guys suggest? Any great little places?

Thank you!

Good Mexican Food in T.O./Agoura/Valley

Thank you. Believe it or not, we have Baja Fresh in Boston (not as good as here though). I do not know Sharkey's and will check it out. I will ask about Lupe's too.

Good Mexican Food in T.O./Agoura/Valley

Hi! I am a transplanted LA native and back visiting family. I crave Mexican food because you just can't find it in Boston the same way it is done here. I am in T.O. right now. What do you suggest in the area or the S.F. Valley? My in laws will probably not drive into LA.

Thank you!

Need a good restaurant in Andover for a group dinner

I live in Andover and that is a tough one. I agree with Cassis but it is very tiny and can be noisy because if it. A short drive, but Evenfall in No. Andover is very good and probably better for a group. Just about 15 min outside of downtown Andover. Glory, in town, goes up and down for food and not sure where it is now but it is a good location for you. (Same owner as Evenfall) Check out the menu in both places. That is about it I am afraid. Have a good celebration!

Best Mussels in Boston

I second Mistral. Delicious broth and good, plump mussels. I think Stella does a good job too. I need to try Aquitaine.

Scarpetta Last Night

I know there are many individual differences in taste and thank goodness for that! Bland is probably a bad word for it. And, to be honest, my husband can eat a whole pound of pasta at one sitting (and he is thin!) so it may have clouded it a bit and he was hungry. You are probably right on the red sauce thing and that was not what we were looking for.

The bass was sauteed with nice, crispy skin on top. It was a very nice, thick portion. Very tender and flavorful. The sauce was excellent and had lobster chunks and mussels in it. A light seafood flavor but not overpowering. A really delicious dish. I gave half of it to DH to
keep him happy!

Scarpetta Last Night

So, hubby really wanted pasta last night. Say what you want about Babbo, but the pasta is always perfect. But, did not want to wait until 10:45 or fight for a seat at the bar. I have been wanting to try Scarpetta so made our way over there at 9:00 or so. Waited about 20 min for a seat in the bar. Not too bad. The atmosphere is very nice and the hosts/hostesses were friendly. Many reasonable wine choices which I always appreciate. I ordered the scallop carpaccio and it was fabulous. The hamachi DH ordered was good. I had black bass and it was really good. Now, where it fell down and I am still mad about it, is the pasta. Dh wanted pasta and usually does not eat much meant, so ordered the spaghetti with tomato and basil. For $27!!!!!! It was very bland, way too small and because we felt ripped off, ruined an otherwise wonderful meal. You could say, why order something that sounds so plain, yes. But, why would a top chef put something like that on the menu? Maybe $17 but $27?????? Or, add some hot pepper to it and put on some fresh cheese. At least.

Thanks for listening!

solo dinner tonight

You can also try the bar at Gotham Bar and Grill on 12th and the bar at Union Sq. Cafe. I think Babbo is tough but if you go early it may work. It is a bit further away and more casual than those listed, but I love Momofuku, both of them!

Visiting and would like a recommendation

What about Stella? Good food, good scene. Does get crowded but I believe they take reservations. Sit in the front dining area.

Late Night Boston?

Thank you for the suggestions!

Late Night Boston?

Does anyone have any suggestions for dining after 11:00PM week ends in Boston? I know Franklin, Toro, and Stella. What am I missing?

Thank you!
