Dallas Steakhouse Recommendations

My boyfriend and I are visiting Dallas over the Thanksgiving holiday. We are looking for recommendations on the best steakhouse in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We'll have a rental car so transportation is not an issue and we don't mind driving for a great steak. While good side dishes are a plus, we really want to know who has the "best steak".

Scarpetta, Convivio or Del Posto for Pasta

Thanks again for all the responses; we might end up trying two places. I read Sam Sifton's review of Marea. I'll start looking at the Chowhound reviews.

Scarpetta, Convivio or Del Posto for Pasta

Thanks for the responses. Del Posto is definitely off the list. We were originally leaning towards Convivio, but we read some excellent things on Chowhound about Scarpetta. We looked at their menu and they have several great pasta dishes. While Scarpetta is good, it sounds like Convivio is the better choice for pasta.

We are visiting NYC over the holidays and can't decide between Scarpetta, Convivio or Del Posto. We love pasta and would like recommendations on which of these three is the best for pasta dishes. We've been to Babbo and Lupa and enjoyed both. Thanks!

The Art of Eating, Fine Cooking or Saveur

I want to get a friend a subscription to a food magazine. He loves travel, dinning out and cooking. He is particularly fond of Molecular Gastronomy.

I am debating between The Art of Eating, Saveur or Fine Cooking. Any recommendations on which of these three would be the best, or are there others I should consider?
