Headed to San Fran for literally 36 hours. Coming from landlocked Colorado. Staying at the Hotel Nikko but willing to go anywhere. Looking for any 'musts' for lunch (sandwiches/soups or a saturday brunch) and also a great local seafood joint for dinner- large wine lists are a plus- my budget is NOT French Laundry but its also not Subway;)... and I am also a fan of the unsuspecting holes in the wall. Also a great bakery for AM coffee and a treat would be a perk too!

Bray & Howth Ireland
My boyfriend and I will be in Bray for a couple of days and looking for a good pub and pub grub as well as any recs for anything else to try... we are coming from landlocked Colorado so seafood is a plus for us.

We have a long enough layover (5 hrs) today and want to take the blue line from the airport into Chicago for lunch... something light for traveling (headed across the pond) but also something local! It was suggested to us to go to northern chicago? but we are open to anything that is 1/2 hour on the blue line... suggestions please and thanks....

I don't know which area but I do now its in the city... she is coming from Boulder and lunch spots would be great too - she has one friend there so maybe places she would not feel uncomfortable on her own. No cuisine preferance - she loves fresh food, seafood, meats, cheese, she is an all around foodie.

New Places to try in Boulder/Denver & surrounding areas
After reading these replies and recs - I would go with SoBo. Its not as expensive as The Kitchen or the likes... but better... it is worth the money in the sense of quality. The food is amazing, the wine list is eclectic & I think the most expensive bottle I saw was in the low $80s with several ones offered in the 20-30 range. I love Aji but it offers only one style of food, Radda is over-rated in my mind, try something new is my advice ...

two places to choose from - very different but looking to hear about people's experiences there. Bacaro is one - interested in the Italian food good not good? Atmosphere friendly not friendly? And the second is 14th street grille...what are people's experience? Hubby and I went to one and not the other - waiting to see what folks have to say before we drop a paycheck.

Back to Boulder next week on last visit went to the Kitchen and loved it. Anything else that is a must try - fresh foods - unique or the best ever. Looking for fairly inexpensive.. in other words the Kitchen was a treat. Thanks for any ideas!

Downtown Richmond, VA Reccomendations?
I second Comfort but not the others they feel like chains - for a real GREAT meal venture to the VCU area for Edo's Squid- not far from where you will be and his first restuarant is even closer to you Mama Zu's but I favor Edo's - I like the atmosphere better... both very affordable and both have a bar to eat at if you are solo. Also in the fan Dogwood is quite good and so is Zues..both a bit pricey but worth it.
Anniversary Dinner in Annapolis
I second that! Lemon Grass is fantastic! Great venue and excellent food - in walking distance to a few spots for a pre or post dinner cocktail if that is in order.

Help! Going to be in Orlando for two weeks- near the new Rosen resort near Universal Studios- looking for some great places for dinners. Prefer local spots not chains, good food, fresh ingedients, do not drink so alcohol is not important but love ethnic food - meats, veggies, all types welcome - suggestions so helpful! Boulder bound
Thanks so much for the great advice! We have decided The Kitchen for a saturday night dinner (nice wine list) and also Sunflower for Suday brunch... and all the other spots we hope to work in in our 5 day stay. One question - we rented a SUV for our drive from Boulder to Nederland... we have driven the mountains of the East Coast, Spain, Ireland, and Germany - anything to compare? And any other good stops with also good eats is appreciated- we love food and the outdoors!
