Free Fruit Jelly Exchange Etiquette?
If a friend gives you a pile of fruit from his garden (that was going to go bad anyway), what is the appropriate amount of jam to return to them. For instance, if I can make 10 jars of jam, how much should I give back to the person who "donated," the fruit?

Ages ago, when I lived in NYC, I used to get paper-thin slices of Nova at Zabars. The guys behind the counter were really skilled. Does anyone do that in the South Bay? Or anywhere on the Peninsula. We're new in town...HELP!
