Delicious, affordable wedding food?
I'm placing my faith in the Chicago Chowhounders here: Does anybody have any recommendations for a great caterer in the Chicago area for a wedding?
It'll be about 150 people, and my friends (the ones getting married) are looking for food that would fall in the 'contemporary American' category. So, lots of leeway there. Probably buffet-style, not sit-down. The catch is that it needs to be fairly inexpensive, because they're paying for the wedding themselves while trying to refurbish their house. I think they'd also like to go with a small-scale, independent caterer (maybe even one from the South Side, if you know of any).
Any recommendations? I know you guys can help! Fingers crossed...
