Salted Caramel Frosting

I made this yesterday and it was all butter, so I added another of everything but the butter, still not fit to eat! My honey said it might be good on pancakes.

Paris with 11-yr-old daughter

At the risk of offending you and the others here, I let my niece watch "Somethings Gotta Give" and then we went to Le Grand Colbert. We had a great time, We had pizza, Creps and The Estimable Hippotat..... And I think we went to Polidor too. I have found that I have to really ratchet back when I have the kids along. I am planning my 50 BD dinner and am in a dilemma for the same reason. I want to do something I think is cool, but will have a picky adult and my niece ( who is also pickey) along, and I see little point in spending a large amount of money on a dinner that only I will enjoy, o.k. the 14 yo boy will love wherever I choose too! :) Rosie Caro

Paris Pastry Class

I am going in May with this as a focus as well, though I want to learn even more than pastry. I am not sure what would qualify me as an accomplished cook, but I too know one end of the knife fro the other, Even that there is more than one kind o knife! :) I am planning on doing some classes with Cooking with Class, and there is a Pastry class at LCB, but I do not know how proficient one should be before that one. I will be happy let you know how it was for me though, if your planning can wait that long. RosieCaro

Cooking Classes in Paris

Yes, The demos are very cheap, but I really think I want to do the hands on thing, I find that sometimes, watching and doing are very different than really learning how to do it at the time. I have one demo and one hands on on my list for May.

Cooking Classes in Paris

Thanks you guys for your feed back. I have done a lot of research, there are some that are cheaper, but non that piqued my interest. There are also some demonstrations but not hands on at Le Cordon Bleu that are around 33 Euro. Ilovegodfoodandwine, if you will email me I will send you the the schedule they sent me. It has the courses, prices and a registration form. My name is my AOL account. RosieCaro
