Help! Need a Phoenix resource to purchase quail (for cooking at home). I got a great resource to order quail (Manchester Farms) however it will be $50 just for shipping...ouch! Where can I purchase quail in the Phoenix area? Anybody know? Thanks so much in advance...I need it for my "Like Water For Chocolate" themed Valentine's dinner. :) |

Tasting menu? Between LAX and Nokia theatre Thanks everyone! I'm going to look in to all of these options...they sound great! Before I got any replies I landed on Ciudad via other posts on here (and found they have a free shuttle to the Nokia). Their food looks fabulous tooo! Ok off to drool over your links/suggestions. You guys in LA are the best on here! Steered me to my favorite all time meal EVER because of this board! :D |

Tasting menu? Between LAX and Nokia theatre Out of towner here seeking a great tasting menu meal en route from my hotel at LAX to the Nokia theatre. Last time I was in LA I dined at Opus Bar and Grill but perusing their site, doesn't seem they have the spontaneous tasting menu anymore. Any suggestions? Thanks ! |

Best values/spots in Puerto Vallarta??? I used to live in PV many years ago. You can't miss going downtown around "siesta" time (late afternoon) and get some "elote" (ears of corn) from a street vendor, slather on the mayo and powdered cheese and lime (and chili if you can take the heat) and wander around watching the sunset from the zocalo. PS. I practically lived at at little juice bar called Tuti Fruti for their incredible fruit "aguas" and chicken tortas. It's kind of off the beaten path behind the main drag in downtown (if it's still there--you can ask a cab driver) but very popular w/ locals, fresh fruits, amazing breads and inexpensive (back in the day I got a huge "agua de mango" with a side car for 65 cents! yes a few years ago...). |

Culinary Tours in San Miguel de Allende? Not quite sure where to place this post but figure this is as correct as anything (is there a place on here where people talk about culinary tours?). Just wondering if anyone out there has done a culinary tour in San Miguel de Allende and has feedback on where to steer me. The price can vary pretty greatly for a week and just not sure which to pick. Any suggestions/tips etc would be greatly appreciated! Salud! Katie |
