Best meal I ever ate:
French Laundry, dinner 2001. Nine coures, each with a different wine. My friend and I did not speak all the way home to Marin because no words could describe the spiritual experience it was.

I really wish I could:
Have great dinner parties weekly to feed my friends on my budget.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Either a sesonal fruit gallette, a lemon curd tart with creme fraiche, or a chocolate bourbon pecan torte.
My favorite comfort food:
mashed potatoes and gravy.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
French Laundry, Jean-Jorges, Zuni..gotta think about the last two.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Joy of Cooking, Tartine Desserts, Stars Desserts, Barefoot Contessa, Marcella Hazan.
