Peanut butter cake. A boxed yellow cake with boiled peanut butter frosting made with 2c peanut butter, 2c sugar, 2 tbs butter, and a splash of vanilla extract FLAVOR. Thanksgiving just isn't the same until there is has been a fight for the last piece of cake.

One of my most vivid childhood memories was reading They Very Hungry Caterpillar. The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry and the Very Hungry Bear is a great book for young kids.
