Need a restaurant recommendation-Los Feliz

I tried to like Little Dom's, but after a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs that tasted exactly like chef boyardees (including the mushiness of the noodles and flavorlessness of the meat) I think I won't ever give it another shot. Anyway, I'd rather go to mozza for pizza.

What is disappointing to me is that the servers don't know how or from whom the raw ingredients (like beef) are sourced. But most restaurants are like that.

Yank Sing Mediocre at Best

After reading many posts I decided to try out Yank Sing on Stevenson during my visit to SF. I have only eaten dimsum in the US, but I have eaten at Eilte and many random places in los angeles and new york. And Yank Sing was disappointingly mediocre. The selection was average - really all I saw was the typical hargow, pork bao, fried shrimp stuff- they served this scallop thing with DONKATSU sauce, and they charged 2 bucks a head for some plain old tea. We got 4 things - so little because we decided to go somewhere else - and it was 35 bucks.

Maybe I should have re-evaluated when I saw there were no Chinese, not even Asian, people there. Even going to Jing Fong in New York, which puts copious amounts of MSG in everything, is a much more fun and interesting experience than Yang Sing eating. The drab SF downtown backdrop made it worse. I believe going to colorful Chinatown would have been more enjoyable, considering that the atmosphere is livelier, the tea free, the flavors the same, and the bill half of Yank Sing's.

Thanks patty. What I meant by butchered in-house is that they buy large segments of the animal and process as much of it as possible, meat, bones, marrow and all, which creates less waste. I simply like restaurants that use these practices.

Good Burger

Does anyone know of a place that makes a good burger using 100% grass-fed beef or bison, that comes with fries, does not have avocado and bacon and grilled onions and and egg, and is less than 16 dollars (more like 10 or 11)? Thanks.

Hello

Does anyone know of a restaurant (like Marlow and Sons/Diner in NY) that is almost entirely seasonally and locally driven, pasture-raised animals -butchered in-house, casual atmosphere / NOT FANCY. etc..

Places like Father's Office and Hungry Cat, fancy fancy, are just not cutting it.

Thanks!
