India House or Indian Garden Recipes?

I love indian food. I probably eat it at least 2x a week. I am hoping somebody can guide me on generic recipes for these two restaurants as I need to cut down on my expenses.

Perhaps an India House recipe for chicken tikka masala? many of the recipes online come nowhere close to what these dishes taste like (in the chicago indian restaurants).

Totto Ramen - Hot Sauce??

I've only had the pleasure of eating at Totto Ramen once. The ramen was very good, the broth creamy, salty, and very savory. However, the hot sauce was what I remember most. It was not too spicy, had great texture and crunch, and would pair well with so many rice and noodle dishes.

Does anybody have any idea how to make this hot sauce? I know that it starts with a sesame oil base, and it has a lot of garlic and onions/scallions. The texture comes from a lot of fried or dried bits, whether that's fried garlic or onion I don't know.

Any ideas? Would truly love a chance to try this again (not from NYC).

Is an amuse-bouche usually free?

very interesting topic. i feel like this is very shady, and i would definitely raise a ruckus.

obviously, in a small establishment, i can understand the coffee comparison. however, at a find dining restaurant, where you expect some kind of "over the top" service/food, i would be VERY surprised to be charged when asked in such a manner.

finally, if i refuse to pay, what recourse can i take? if i just walk? if i just leave enough for the meal less the amuse?

for example, if i was charge 25$ for a bottle of water, there would be NO way i would ever pay that, nor 250 for shrimp that nobody wanted.

useful, but i have a caveat, this is for a bet. i bet my friend that we can no longer find strictly "malt flavor ice cream". and i'm hoping to prove my friend wrong! i would love to be proved wrong to find the store though.
